Two more things you can check. If you arm the car with the trunk open and then pull the fuse to the siren the alarm should start. Also you can try to jack up the car when the alarm is armed then the tilt sensor in the siren should set of the alarm also.
Also what fuse location did you use for the siren? I had to hunt around for a fuse with constant 12v even when the car goes in deep sleep. The first one I tried only had power for 5 minutes after arming and the alarm would fire after 5 minutes Last edited by sevenofnine; 05-06-2018 at 04:45 AM.. |

As far as the mount I made, I drilled a hole above where the wiring loom enters the car and ran a bolt through there. It sounds like you figured something out though. |

I'll try pulling the fuse power like you suggested and see what happens. I was riding a ferry this weekend and locked my car. When I came out the led was flashing rapidly as if the alarm was going off but no sound so I suspect the tilt sensor is doing something. |

No I used a different fuse beacuse I have yet to recieve the contact for the fuse box from bmw so I just used a spade connector from the top of the fuse box. And I only had the larger spade connector that fits where the large fuses go.
So I am using fuse location 112 at the moment. Hopefully I will get my contact from bmw soon so I can mount it the correct way. |

Alarm fully functional, happy to report.
The fuse block for F103 was actually not getting power. I invested in a multimeter and pinned that down as the issue. I had the same issue finding a constant 12v source that didn't set the alarm off after the car went to sleep |

Coding / No FZD...?
I got all the connections made and am having some problems with the coding portion of the project. I added VO code 302 successfully to the FA. When I activate the FA in the Coding screen, there is no FZD module listed. I proceeded anyway and re-coded all the modules in the car and the "Acoustic signal on lock/unlock" option appears in iDrive but it won't let me check the box to select it - I highlight it and push the button to select it and the box won't check.
I'm fairly certain the issue lies with there being no FZD module visible but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get it there. My car does NOT have a sunroof, which may or may not be contributing to the issue. Can anyone help me with this? I feel like I'm SO close and there is just some detail I'm missing that I'm too stupid to figure out for myself . |

I'm definitely not going to be running wires from the engine compartment through the firewall. If the solution isn't something simpler I'll probably just book this as a "fail" and move on. |

hello I had the same problem when adding the alarm. you can connect the power supply (positive) with the existing one to test
you have no choice otherwise it will not work Last edited by david51; 05-28-2018 at 01:12 PM.. |

if you do not have a power supply, it will be necessary to add one to the fuse box engine compartment F62 (fuse 30A)

OMG!
that looks clear... so in the case we need for power we just need to run a wire from fuse F62 and another for ground in the pins you marked on the 16 pin connector right?
