Passing emissions with a JB4 and catless DPs

Hi guys. I'm pretty new here but I've been having some issues passing emissions with my car in NY.

Been doing a ton of research on this but I can't seem to find a definitive how-to on the topic above.

As the title says, I have a JB4 and a catless DP on my car, and i'm reading that the only surefire way to pass is go back to stock DP. Problem is, I can't seem to find an OEM DP for sale for the life of me.

I have a code scanner, JB4 is switched to Map 0 and disconnected and I can't find the VRSF dp fix any where either.

Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction. Thanks!

I am pretty sure the VRSF DP fix never worked to pass emissions, but someone can correct me if i am wrong. It's for sale on their website, but i wouldnt buy without confirmation it actually works from someone who used it.

If your state requires you to get all emissions monitors in ready state (some allow 1 NOT ready monitor), then yes, you need the OEM DP and/or a aftermarket DP that passes emissions (fabspeed catted, AA). I'm sure you can find an OEM one for sale on here or on ebay. Aftermarket catted ones typically run $1,000+ if you want to pass emissions with it. I think you can probably get a used OEM for ~$200-300.

NY and Catless do not mix. The jb4 just clears the check engine light. It does nothing for the readiness check. It's why I haven't gone catless and I can't justify the price of the fabspeed.

I don't recommend Fabspeed dp. Mine only lasted little over a year and you will eventually get CEL. To get any warranty be ready to jump through hoops to prove their $1400 dp is faulty. They do not reimburse you for anything not even shipping back the faulty dp.

Do you use octane booster or any other fuel additives? How are your burble settings?

This is the first i am hearing of fabspeed catted DP eventually causing a CEL. Sucks because i just installed mine a few months ago... I hope i don't run into this issue. Just curious if you did anything out of the ordinary to cause excessive wear.

No additives just 93 octane . I am FBO with MPPK+Dinan stage 4 with stock burble settings. I don't drive aggressive enough to cause any abnormal wear. This is suppose to be a performance part and should be able to handle it.

Google Fabspeed dp with CEL will see there are others with same issue. They guarantee no CEL but don't really stand behind their product. Wish I had did more research before purchasing one.

Agree it should be able to handle it. Will see how mine plays out then.

I am at 2+ years on mine with no issue. To be fair, I do not have a lot of miles on it, but they are not exactly highway miles either.

Same here with my Fabspeed - no problems

And mine is DD with ~10K per yr

Including the bigger turbo, BM3 custom tune, no heavy burbles
