If you have an ISTEP update available and know how to do this, we can probably see if that gives you a ROM version with more tables defined on BM3.
What istep version are afranke and vigilante on?

I believe vigilante actually got his DME updated before activating BM3. Unfortunately I can't tell via BM3... as their rom version identifier is a bit different than what's in the actual HEX files.

With that said... My channel to Halim went through and he got the maps updated.

Sending him the Burble map now

If vigilante and afranke could post, it would be major clue as both were PWG.

I believe I'm currently on iStep F020-17-03-505 (maybe slightly newer). I update with ISTA semi-regularly.

I finally got the Burble... yay 😁

first off thanks to Cookiesown and BM3 support. my car had the old DME version not supported by BM3 but they hooked me up to Mark Rice.. great guy he did the update on my DME and then I was able to activate my car on BM3 but then it turned out that there were some issues with the tables but amazing support from BM3 and Cookiesown I had a map overnight.

I think this is a good start and after fine tunnig the Burble we can move towards a tune soon.

BM3 flashing is fun 😀

Thanks guys

So I found out that my front left strut is leaking and the replacement part is almost $600. I was wondering if anyone here has had to replace their struts and if there is a less expensive alternative.

I have attached herewith a screenshot showing in red the updates done.

I hope this helps.

It's only about $270 on ECS: https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-...t/31316874378/

$5 cheaper on FCP with that lifetime replacement guarantee: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...mw-31316874378

That is assuming you're actually talking about the strut, which is part #1 in this diagram: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=31_0972

Bootmod 3 for $475 new today with eBay Coupon today

Guess I can give cookiesowns a unmodified AH3 file if he’s interested and then start making mods.

Guess from that standpoint it’s good I didn’t even install my ER CP yet so I really have an unmodified 2013 PWG I can log for him first.

So.... that burbles is definitely not a representation of how I usually do mine. We're missing a few switches for "burble" settings that really change how they work & sound... Halim is working on porting out some of the AH3 and older PWG ROMs, so this should come soon enough.

Update: It appears Halim updated some tables... sent him a new revision

Update2: Those burbles actually seem a tiny bit tinny due to the fact that he has an aggressive exhaust setup and decat I believe. So I can probably tune it back and mess with durations to make it sound a bit better.

I have 2 different ROM's already for AH3. One from franke, and one from vigilante.

It would be great if we can start with a totally unmodified car, and work up from there slowly increasing power and etc.

Yes I have a decat down pipe and straight through valvetronic exhuast.

Very excited to try out the new revision. Will flash and hopefully try to upload sound clips tonite.

Its a great thing that Cookiesown and BM3 are coming up with support so quickly. I would like to request all who want to tune to get involved. If we can have an unmodified car and the 2 that are already there maybe we can have OTS maps very soon for our cars.

Hey cookiesowns, could you add those burbles to my stock tune as well? I just got my yearly inspection notice, so I need to flash back to stock for a bit to get the monitors in a ready state. Now that I'm back to work from paternity leave, I'll be able to actually provide you logs as well. Thanks a ton!

Just got my license code emailed so if cookiesowns would contact me on exactly how to do it, I would be happy to get logs for unmodified before doing anything else.

Not sure when I should get ER CP I have here installed, but one step at a time.

My laptop hard drive failed so that’s out of commission at the moment. I have a workstation on my Garage bench with eSys etc.

Does computer need to be connected to car in real-time for logging?

I see alot of OTS maps now for the Activehybrid 3. Can't wait to try them out.

Should I flash the stage 2 map 98 octane as we have 93 octane here and I am running E30 so should be around 98 octance if not more.

That's some good stuff!

No, do not run Ethanol mix on high octane maps, as the calibrations are quite different. You will get HPFP dips almost 100%, as the ethanol mixes generally target similar amounts of boost to 93octane ( US Octane ) but with tweaked AFR ( slightly leaner ) and more timing to get the power.

Just hit Request custom on the "My maps section" And pick my tuner name in there. should be under "JWTuned"

I am running meth also would that help the octane and make the map safe?
