Adding an F10 option to F30 and VO coding (example S536A and S6WBA)
Similar to the guys that have been fitting the Multifunction Instrument Cluster S6WBA into their F3X’s...
I am looking to retrofit S536A (536) Auxiliary Heating to my F31. The problem is, like 6WB, 536 was never offered in the F3X, so it’s not just a case of adding 536 to the FA and VO coding the car. There is reference in the other threads to using a modified FA from a F10 to get the 6WB into the F30, but I can’t find any other information on how to do that. I am wondering if I need to do something similar to get 536 loaded into my F31 - It is available as standard on the F15 and F10. Can anyone advise or point me in the direction of a guide that will help me add an option code to a car that was never offered with that option? Any help is appreciated! |

6WB is found in FA2FP table for an F010. It is just not available as option on North American vehicles. So, you can still retrofit hardware and add option to FA without any errors.

Thanks Almaretto,
My car is an F31, I tried to add 536 to my FA and code but that caused an error in esys, presumably because its not available on the F31 (or F3x) from the factory. I presumed this is the issue that people have with retrofitting the 6WB multifunction instrument cluster, but are getting round this by using a 'modified FA from an F10'. It's teh 'modified FA' that I am not sure about. I'll try and code 536 on my car and post the error in case its something else. |

Looking again at this guide: -
https://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/at...3&d=1337541774 Could I modify the FA2FP table in the PDX package for the F31 (F020) to include 536? |

There is a difference between modifying PDX and FA. |
