Just wondering why you would try to say the car loaded onto a trailer was a 428i, when it was always obvious that it was not? |

Looks pretty sweet for a concept car but when is the last time you saw a final product look anywhere as good as the concept car.

The Jan. Detroit reveal is not that far away. Why don't we touch base again then? Listen, I really think this concept is stunning. It looks like nothing I have ever seen before. I'm just a wee bit skeptical that any of the things "that make it stunning", will actually make it into production. I would be happy with just a baby 6 series. But, I doubt it will look nothing like this amazing sculpture here. |

I like it. It also gives me hope for the 2 series to be as sleek if the trickle down design continues.

I find the nose fairly "droopy." While I understand the need to meet pedestrian safety regulations, the hood bulges up and then has a sudden drop off at the nose which just doesn't look right for some reason. I still don't get the name change to 4 series, no one has seemingly had a problem with the idea of a 3 Series Coupe since 1975 (when the 3 Series debuted as a coupe no less!). It also seems enormous, the E92 was big enough, but this thing seems gigantic. It's alright, but still not a fan of either the fender applique or the overall front end design - and especially the silly name change.

"Individual" interior is wildly understated for the concept or heck maybe it's a clever idea. I'd like to know who decided wicker-basket cupholders was a good idea. Maybe I can get something like... seagrass floormats.
Either way, 4 looks great and it'll most likey be my next car if there's an M4. I still think those "Air Breathers" look like PepBoys and double-sided tape. |

Not impressed. Looks like a German version of a Mustang or Camaro. The original appeal of the 3er coupe & cabrio many years ago was that it was the opposite of those cars. Minimal teutonic design, no boy-racer scoops and vents. I realize that since then, many former Trans-am customers have adopted the 3 coupe as their car of choice, but this whole longer, lower, wider thing has to stop. My E93 already parks like a boat compared to the space inside.
And that woven leather interior, my god. I used to wear belts like that in the 80's. Also, Audi already did baseball glove stitching 10 years ago. |

The reason is simple. BMW wants more $$$ so they increased the number and will charge more for it.

Jason, when can we get comparison pics of the current 3 coupe against these new 4 series pics, even though it is a concept compared to a production model, also would be cool to have a comparison of the front end of the 3 series concept when it debuted against the front of the 4.

For reference on BMW "concept cars" this was the e92 M3 "concept"
![]() I literally was going to the dealer to talk about ordering an F30 M Sport today and now I think it is more than worth it to enjoy my E90 for abit longer until this car is released. I think BMW nailed it. Thank goodness after the fugly 3GT |
