Has anyone received the Red envelope that contains the release codes from their dealerships after having the kit installed?
or are they discarded once the kit is installed? I asked my SA but he said I was the first one who got the MPPSK and was not sure about the red envelope. |

This is what I've gathered at least from shawnsheridan on this forum helping people code their own MPPK in the past. |

Anyone else noticing inconsistency with the exhaust sound in sport and sport + ?
It can be very aggressive with lots of burbiling and back fires one minute then completely toned down and mute the next even when driving aggressively. |

I don't think it's needed, it was just a red envelope with the code on a piece of paper inside.
I have not noticed any difference between sport and sport+. But the exhaust does make different sounds based on liftoff under different combinations of throttle, gear, and RPM. And probably temp of the engine and exhaust. I find that running it up to 4 or 5k RPMs at WOT and then lifting off in 2nd or 3rd gets the loud crackly backfires, but not always. Sometimes I feel like I'm a conductor in a bad ass mechanical orchestra calling up different sounds. I also agree that it feels like a challenge to produce the crackles, which is fun. I was just thinking this morning, the MPPSK really has changed how I drive! I am much more likely to have the sunroof or windows cracked, to hear those glorious noises, and throttle lift/engine overrun is now a regular part of my shifting habits, where I used to clutch in on throttle lift. |

How long did it take to install mppsk at the port? My car is due in Galveston either Saturday or Sunday and I'm wondering how long the exhaust, and the other PIA's will take before my car gets to the dealer.

My car arrived at port on 10/3 and was sent out to dealer on 10/6 and arrived at dealer on 10/10. I had mppsk, kidney grills, front splitter, cf mirrors, and cf spoiler all installed at port. They'll probably start working on the car on Monday if the car arrives on Sunday. Last edited by FeelinBlessed; 10-13-2016 at 01:46 PM.. |

Well this suck's, just got off the phone with Dealer who just confirmed with BMW NA, M Performance LSD will NOT work on xDrive 340's due to different axles being used than on RWD. They have the car all disassembled and it will not fit, period, no options. I'm still getting the MPPSK but no MPLSD.

I was just checking too and found different part numbers for RWD vs AWD for the axles.

Yeah I'm not too happy, stuff got taken apart for no reason. I just hope they had a Master Tech doing the work, accessories are usually installed by junior techs but I have to think this job would have been considered "gravy" work with big book time but little actual time spent on the car so it might have gone to someone more senior, hope so anyway.
edit: Oh yeah, and the worst part is no LSD.

By the way, even though this didn't work out it was a pretty baller move going MPPSK + MPLSD all at once. I respect that. |

RealOEM does list different P/Ns for the diffs themselves too. Lots of aftermarket options though, similar price range... some noticeably cheaper, but not many. |
