Mike,

So do you guys have the Bilstein PSS coilovers for xDrives yet? Looking for a set for our F31. If the rear weight is an issue I believe we can figure out an alternative rear spring with higher rates if needed.

This caused a bouncy, bumpy ride with the front end crashing on abrupt dips and bumps. It was unpleasant and felt "cheap." With the Bilstein B8s, all now seems to be as it should. I consider the ride a significant improvement over stock xDrive suspension. It is firm and composed over smooth road, bumps, and even the frost-heaved pavement we have here in Alaska. It stays flat in the corners including some spirited play in roundabouts last night, where I pushed her hard enough in sport mode that the nanny features were kicking in. Overall it seems to be riding like a sport coupe that is my daily driver ought to. I'm very pleased thus far - I feel like it's back to riding like a high quality new German car, with firm commanding ride, excellent handling, and much composure. Mind you, I haven't hit any (more) terrible potholes or such (yet), so the verdict is still out on how it deals with adverse conditions. Bottom line - I'm very pleased. I was concerned that if this "experiment" failed, then I would pay to revert back to full stock xDrive suspension. I will not be doing that. BTW, the "stance" is excellent too.
When they installed the bilstein b8 with H&r sport, did they keep the original bumpstop or did they remove it?

I had them use the OEM bump stops.

Finally got around to working on the car. I just finished putting them on my 335 xDrive w/ H&R sport springs. Ride is firm but not too harsh. Should I have cut the rear bump stops though? I can't tell if it's too firm in the rear because I never ride back there. Way better than the stock xDrive suspension.

Firm but borderline uncomfortable? I assume it's not bouncy but does it hit hard on bumps?

I don't think it's uncomfortable. Depending on speed it can hit hard. I think it will get softer over time.

Now I'm trying to decide between B14 and B16 (says coming soon), honestly don't think I would be adjusting that often, I kinda trust Bilstein to have it dialed in correctly.
