I'm having trouble too. This is what I downloaded from the alternate source Where am I goofing up.

First thing. I'm not the most computer savvy person going. I've been trying to figure out why I couldn't get the download from the DVD to the car.

This is what I found out by pure dumb luck:

When you format the DVD, you can choose a setting similar to "USE LIKE A USB FLASH DRIVE" by right clicking on your DVD Drive. Mine was "F".

That way it doesn't finalize the DVD and it is just like using a USB Flash Drive.

It was to the point, I even asked Shawnsheridan for help and he was stumped. Silly me.

I din't know if this made a huge difference or not, but I did download the file by renaming it a torrent file and using BIT TORRENT to accomplish that.

Correct. Session must be Finalized in order to be read by Head Unit. I was not aware you did not do so.

Just a tip for anyone doing the Gracenote update...

It probably takes a good 40 min to load onto the HDD. Also, DON'T exit the screen where the percentage done starts counting up. I'm not sure if this halts the process or not, but when you go back in you won't see the percentage, you won't be able to restart the installation and all your Connections will be gone. I wasn't sure if it was still going or not and had no feedback, so I had to reset iDrive and start it all over again.

Blah, it didn't work. It finally got to 100% and then just went back to where it allows you to start the installation. The version number on the HDD vs the DVD is still different. Help!

...Just burned it again DAO method and made sure the session was closed. Will see what happens.

....Success! That version of the dvd did the trick.

Gracenote has nothing to do with SDARS. It is for DVD's only.

Try FDL coding HU_NBT => SDARS_ALBUM_ART = aktiv.
