Put my Sons stock 2016 328 on the dyno - graph here
Nothing new here but thought I'd share...stock 2016 328
ps- before someone asks - we were there up to shenanigans with other BMWs - but figured we'd throw his car on the rollers to see what it would do :-) That said I'm pleased with the stock results...they are exactly in line with what we expected Last edited by chenry; 12-04-2019 at 08:50 PM.. |

Nice, thanks for sharing.
Wonder what FBO & Flash Tune would pull. Update this if you decide to mod and Dyno again. Also... this only equates to about 7-8% drivetrain loss. A bit lower than expected, no? |

Are you basing the % off of claimed stock crank output by BMW? If so, they historically have published lower numbers than their engines actually produce.

So if we work the math the other way and use a more realistic drive train loss factor.... We come up with a base number closer to 250hp at the crank (vs. a reported 240). Gotchya, makes more sense to me now. |

Im glad that you did a baseline dyno.
to people not familiar with dyno numbers, absolute numbers do not mean much. Every dyno is different. Whats going to matter is the delta between the dyno OP posts after the mods vs the baseline dyno
