I had the same experience on my 328 (2014). The front break pads worn out at an exorbitant pace. The system was showing pad change at 75,000km and by the time I hit 32,500km, iDrive was already showing a red alert the change the pads. I took it to the dealer and the dealer "advised" to change the rotors as well. Is it normal to get both pads and rotors changed in 32,000 km (~15,000 miles)?

Unless you drove very hard, they both should be okay. I assume in your case there is no free maintenance and you have to pay for getting them changed? Hence the dealer wanting you to replace them. :-/ In my case they just reprogram things, the sensor always says something wrong, or maybe it's intentionally set like that so that they can make you buy new pads and rotors while they are totally good for another 20-30K.

what replacement mileage for brakes are you seeing? also what should the average replacement mileage be for brakes? my car is a 335i M Sport

Thanks
Here's a datapoint. I just got 23k miles out of front pads and rotors on 2013 328 msport. Dealer replaced for free in USA under free maintenance. I drove had been saying to replace front brakes for a few k already.

My Jetta front pads and rotors lasted for 120k and I drove that thing way harder!

iDrive is purely an estimate. The wear sensor tells you if the pads need to be replaced but it doesn't measure thickness its yes/no not "next tuesday"

Eyeball. The only tool you need to determine if your brake pads need replacing.
It ain't rocket surgery.

Either the iDrive or wrong or I drive like a granny, because it's telling me I got 60K left on both sets of pads or 75K on the odo.
