DMS Remap problem
Got a problem with the 335d.
Ever since the remap once warmed up the car ‘surges’ every 8 seconds on the dot on light consistent throttle. The revs go up 200rpm for around 1/2 a second then the cycle repeats. It’s enough to rock your head back and enough to be a big distraction. The remap company has been out a few times with tweaked maps, great service but no joy. Ideas have ranged from egr valves to non runflats (XDrive pulsing). My gut feeling is some sort of over fuelling or recirculating problem but I’m no expert. Anyone any ideas? |

Hi blueyzfr169,
Did you get to the bottom of your ‘surging’ car post your DMS remap? I have recently had my 335d remapped and have similar issues. Car is totally stock other than the remap. It is quite unnerving when it happens, it feels a little like the accelerator is stuck! Only happened a handful of times at around 65-70mph... |

I have had exactly the same symptoms on my RWD 330D for over a year now, ever since it had a tailored rolling road remap as well as the egr being disabled (without blanking). Using bimmerlink I've realised that it only happens during a DPF regeneration, hence the intermittent nature of the problem.
