So is there no way to get your money back and return the product?

Depends. If you're talking a refund from PTF, I'm sure they have requirements for it, but unsure of what they are. I'm sure if you had an issue with it and wanted to, they would work with you. In terms of selling it, you can sell the license.

If you're talking about BPM, I'm not sure.

Correct I'm only talking about bm3 bought through pft. I'm going to call them and ask. I sent an email but haven't heard back.

Yeah, clarify the "return" aspect, but you can resell the license afterward

1. Unlike jb4 will bootmod3 boost over stock psi below 50% throttle so that the power will be a gradual ramp up instead a big dump of power all at once?

2. Can it be used to auto delete codes, specifically o2 sensor codes, since i have a catless DP?

3. Are the OTS maps a purchase or free with the license? I've read you get them free and ive read you pay $50 for all the OTS maps.

4. I currently have a catless DP, no resonator and magnaflow muffler. Sounds pretty good, very little drone. Theres no exhaust flap to speak of in the system that I can imagine unless its in the header pipes, so can I do a burble tune? If so is that an extra option to pay for or is it an option in the flash that I can just select. If burble is related to fuel map, timing, etc. then even with my exhaust setup it should be possible right? But if it is all about exhaust flaps then i feel like im lost.

Any input with people who have a 328i or 320i bm3 flash is appreciated.
Bootmod3 is definitely worth it!

N20 bootmod3 stage 1, 93 octane

Just finished putting stage 1 93 octane map on my f30
I went custom and went with full boost in all gears.
It drives amazing!! Does peel out a bit in first, but does connect pretty well.
Anyone run full boost in all gears??

2012 328i sportline
N20
8 speed

stage 1 bootmod3 328i n20

My car is at stage 1 bm3
With a mosimoto intake
Car is a lot faster
Slight burble with the stock exhaust

Went custom and running full boost for gears 1-6
But I have an 8 speed
The final gears 7, 8 not sure the boost is at in those gears

Was thinking about doing the transmission tune.

My 8 speed transmission is expensive $8000
From the dealer

How reliable is the transmission tune?
Thoughts?

US$8000 for transmission tune?

i think BM3 has it's own transmission tune, which already included in any purchase of the license

If you buy a new transmission from the dealer.
They are $8000.... expensive

I have bootmod3 license but not sure how reliable the transmission tune is.

transmission tune from BM3 is recommended to increase clamping force and shifting point, you will feel better response

I'll have to try it and test it out.

In all honestly, I'm on Stage II and I'm considering going back to Stage I.
this thing pulls so hard it feels like it's going to rip the motor right off the block.

I understand that!

I'm on stage 1 93 octane
And did the transmission flash since I have the 8 speed

Pull hard and fast!

Going to upgrade the intercooler and I'll be set.

bm3 stage 1, sport displays

After finishing stage 1 tune.
Car is faster

But my sport displays on my Idrive doesn't reflect the hp gain.

Still pegs at 245

Anyone else notice this?

For me the sport displays did change but I have 320i. I wonder if it makes a difference that I have MY 2015 car with HU_ENTRYNAV so it's newer head unit. However, I feel like the displays were updated to too high numbers as it reads 320hp for my Stage 1 tune! That was with tune version 2.4 though and now there are 3.0 available so I should re-check that.

I agree that Stage 1 tune made a HUGE difference to acceleration feel/butt dyno. Feels even stronger than stock 328i which is awesome. Would be interesting to do some 1/4 mile pull but unfortunately there are no drag strips near me.

Garage List
My sport displays unlocked so it goes over 250, but it's not accurate since it pegs at 320 for both and I'm only on stage 1.

I know!
Was expecting the sport displays to reflect the right hp.
My stage 1 93 octane tune is version 2.1

I had a feeling that the tune doesn't calibrate the sport displays properly...
Wish there was a fix for this.

3.0?
There is different version numbers for 20i and 28i variants of N20 engine. For 20i the latest version is indeed 3.0.
