F30 Screen question

My 2014 328 has the 6 inch hu entry CIC screen. I'm getting a CIC mmi unit for carplay and I wondering if I swap the 6 inch screen for the 8.8 will my only issue be the stretch problem and would the stretch problem also carry over to carplay?
Any help would be appreciated

Not sure, but you can easily code the different screen size / resolution. At least you can on the NBT units

You can’t do it if you have CIC (HU_Champ) with 6” screen, but 2014 year car should be equiped with HU_Entry or EntryNav and on these units you can change screen to 8,8”. Stretching is just few lines in HU FDL coding.
