Never thought I would be the taillights tint type of guy. I admit it does looks good. Think?

Lux medium smoke tint.

You should get rid of the badging, not smoke it.

you didn't ask for opinions on your tinted tails just about the badge with your tinted taillights - that said if the taillights are staying I would ditch the badges entirely

Not a fan of tinted lenses, prefer the lights stock.

Mine aren't smoked but I installed black badges when I put on the black line LCI taillights. Found both on eBay for about $50, genuine BMW badges.

Just put on Lamin-X "gunsmoke" taillight covers. The blackline tails already looked fantastic but I think it's perfect now, pictures don't do them justice. Plenty visible in broad daylight, I like how the brake lights are now easily discernible and aren't just a bright glow coming from within the light tubes.

How are you guys tinting your lights? Is it a kit or straight up window tint film?

I used vvivid smoke black tail light tint.
it's a dry application so its easy to use, it's just like wrapping using regular vinyl.

Thanks! Just watched a vid on their site - looks really straight forward to apply. I'm going to give this a go!

Does anyone know of any ultra light tail light tint? The lightest vvivid offers is still pretty dark for me. It would be nice to take a little of the red away vs stock, but not look obviously tinted, and have that protective layer as well. I thought about trying window tint but it's not meant to curve over edges

I used a pre-cut product called Lamin-X that comes in a variety of shades and is quite thick. No vinyl is "made to" curve over edges but it will stretch and give if you know how to work it, it's quite a challenge to apply it correctly so there are no fingers or wrinkles. Patience and heat is your friend if you're doing it yourself.

I've used their products before on previous cars I've owned but made a mess of it when I tried on my F32. When I later upgraded to LCI tail lights I paid a local tint shop to apply the Lamin-X vinyl I purchased online.

I actually have laminx clear headlight covers waiting to go on. Last I checked no option from them looked very light, but now I see the "tint" shade looks pretty light. Anyone use laminx "tint" color precuts?

Ordered the "tint" shade after reading someone saying it's equivalent to a 94% window tint (blocks only 6% light). That's exactly what I'm looking for. Even better, I can take a picture of both clear and 'tint' side by side once it arrives

The light smoke and medium smoke looks really good. I'll post as soon as I choose. Thanks for posting the pics.
