For the gold ceramics from the m3/m4 to fit the f30 you'd need the hubs and stuff wouldn't you?

I think it would be pointless to do standard f8x brakes, as I understand it, the calipers are the same as M sport calipers and rotors are just 10mm smaller on M sport. Just get nicer pads, lines and fluid on M sport brakes. It'd be drastically easier and cheaper and perform as good or better. However I'm sure the f8x brakes are lighter in the 2 piece rotor design.

Std F8x series are not only 10mm bigger than msport.
Are 40mm bigger on fronts and 25mm bigger on rears

Std F8x series are 10mm bigger compared to mperformance for fronts and 25mm bigger on rears

However std F8x rotors have better cooling ability than the msport/performance rotors.

335 and 340 M sport brakes are same size as M performance. The smaller motor cars have smaller M sport brake rotors...

I dare say a good set of blanks, track pads, stainless lines and good fluid will out brake a standard f8x and have more fade resistance. And for a whole lot cheaper than buying the kit and swapping the hub's and other needed components to run the standard f8x kit

Nope, 335 and 340 M sport blank gray 4 piston calipers are not the same as M performance. They are 340mm standard vs 370 mm M performance. While the calipers are the exact same internally minus the paint the mounting hub brackets are set further back on the M performance calipers to accommodate the 370mm rotor. And contrary to what many believe even the bigger 370mm rotor does not have a bigger contact area vs 340mm, it's all the same. Hence why you can even use F80/82/83 brake pads even in a basic 335i. The difference is the rotor hat has a larger diameter and it's lighter.

Now the M235i and M240i come standard with blue calipers but they are 340mm front and 345mm rear.
