Pilot Super Sports

Whose running PSS on their f30s?

How do you like them? Noise, handling, wear, etc.

Just ordered a set and I don't even have my car yet.

I think it is a great choice! The PZero's are ok, but worthless in the rain and cold weather.

No negatives to report so far.

My fuel economy is down 5-8%, but that is to be expected when you increase rolling resistance with a sticky tire.

I have them also. Noise is similar to RFT but the performance is clearly MUCH improved. Only 1000 miles on this set so I can't help with any questions about wear. The HTR ZIII'S I had on before only lasted 10k, but I expect more from the Michelins. You cannot go wrong with the Pilot Super Sports in my opinion, they are phenomenal performance tires.

Are they any good in wet roads? I decided to go for the pilot sport plus and they grab the wet road like a mad man! I love them because they're soft so they give off a luxurious feel to the steering and ride.

Did you buy a spare for the trunk just in case?

My f30 has 8K miles on the original Bridgestone RFTs. When I have to replace them I am considering what you have, but my wife says no for good reasons. Hopefully there will be a better choice of RFTs out there when I need replacements? I really feel it is a letdown for no spare tire compartment in the trunk

Continental conti sport contact 5 ssr have good reviews. I have the sport contact 2 ssr as replacement from Bridgestone re50a and I like the conti tires much better.

There are some options when it comes time for replacement. Enjoy the 001 from Bridgestone.

It is a let down but I would never carry a spare in my trunk that's for sure. If I get a flat somewhere I guess I will have to call insurance or AAA for a tow truck or something... Haven't figured out the best option other than that for now. Some people say you can carry some instant repair kit with you but that doesn't seem like a working option that will last as long as a spare until you get to a new tire.

Nope. My Roadster never had a spare either. I have AAA, I am fine with the risk.

I hope not Doesn't rain much here in Texas, but does occasionally. I've not found them bad at all in the wet, but then I haven't exactly been pressing the car. I'm not playing tiddly-winks though.

Not sure if we have roundabouts in Texas. Nor wet.

The PSS are amazing...I had the Eagle F1 before I got the PSS and notice a clear difference.

I dont think I've driven anything better than the PSS before; the handling is just spot on!

They look great, can't wait to get them mounted on my car when it arrives.... full review to come.

What tire sizes did you choose?

I assume the wheels are 8.5Jx20 front and 9Jx20 rear.
