more grip

I'm looking for a new wheel/tire combo for more off the line grip. Im currently running Ferrada FR4 in 19x8.5 +33 and 19x10.5 +42 with 245/35 and 275/30 kuhmo ps91 tires. I'm spinning 1-3 currently. especially when I shift.
I want a lighter wheel and a tire with more sidewall and less fender gap. Im looking at arc-8 in 18.

Would 18x11 +44 with 285/35/18 or 295/35/18 fit or can I run one of those on a 9.5?. I'm currently on stock Msport suspension and don't plan on lowering the car. It's pretty low as is.

I'm looking at the arc 8's as well. That's some serious meat outback. I love it.

imo using tires stickier than the kumho would be help a lot. stickier compound is more important than width

you could keep the 19's and run larger diameter tires 245/40/19(26.7")-275/35/19(26.6") or stay with 245/35/19(25.8") front but increase width to 285/30/19(25.7") at the rear. 255/35/19-295/30/19 would be the widest you could fit on the Ferrada's, however the rear tires will poke

if considering 18x11 ET44 Arc-8, contact Apex and ask if they can measure the rim from the outer lip to the inner lip, since the 11" dimension is measured between the bead seats. if the outer rim dimension is less than 12" wide it might work. i've seen a 295 width at ET45, however the widest practical rear size on an F3/4 series is 285 on a 10.5" width rim at offset between ET40-45. 255/40/18-285/35/18 would be a beefy staggered fitment.

again you need to spend more on stickier tires such as MPS4S, Bridgestone Potenza Sport, Continental ExtremeContact Sport or Pirelli Pzero PZ4.

the best option would be to have a separate pair of rear wheels with Yokohama Advan A052 to swap to when desired.

What I was going to do, for this but my plans changed with car, was keeping my stock msport 19's
And getting an apex 17x9.5 and throw a meaty sticky tire on the back in the flavor of a 275/45 or something similar
And just have them for town driving fun, and switch to my standard rears when I travel etc
But now I went with 18x9.5 all around and going to wrap them in 265/40 square, but I'm not doing an upgraded turbo anymore for now

17's should fit on m sport grey brakes, you can also step to a 15" if you end up with serious power, you can go to vader solutions and get the wilwood 15" brake conversion

Above posts are correct, you should get better tires. But the suggested tires are not better. You currently have 260TW rated tires, you need to go down to 200TW. You need tires from this list https://www.tire-reviews.com/Article...-Tire-Test.htm

I have measured my rear rims to figure out the theoretical max rim/tire size and a 10.5 et50 with a 295 should fit pretty well. I don't see an 11" rim fitting in the rear without fender/camber work. To give you an idea on fitment, the M3/4 rims come in 10" et40 and poke a little. I'm running them with a 275/35 and slightly rub the outer fender liner on big dips. A 10.5 et50 would give you 4mm more clearance on the outside to run the wider 285 or 295 tire.
