I've had this in my glove box for over a year and never installed it -- any chance of getting it on the downpipe without a jack and stands? i.e. can you reach it from the engine bay? I don't have a lot of my tools in this state, including my jack, and I'd hate to buy another one just to do this lol

Because you'd be putting it on the post-cat O2 sensor, I think it might be difficult to reach from the engine bay. It shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to throw it on from under the car though... Just take off the underbelly pans and you're there.

I'm only on H&R sport springs but its still pretty low enough that I'm not sure I could squeeze under there. I'll have to give it a look next time I'm out in the garage.

I had previously purchased 2 different sets of ramps but both of them would have torn my front bumper off if I tried to drive up on them, so they got taken back with the quickness

Just get bm3 and forget it.

The last updated "Stage 2" map cleared my P0420 cat codes permanently. I've done 1k miles on the updated map and it hasn't come back.

Yah, you definitely want to get it up in the air some how. If ramps aren't an option, you'll of course need a jack. I wasn't recommending you try to slide under there without lifting it up, that would be a huge pain.

Spacer works great. CEL comes on for me every 500-700 miles or so but I just clear the code and I'm good to go.

I wanted to go BM3 right away after the down pipe install, but I installed the spacer, to keep the light off in the meantime. Well the car ran great, I never got a CEL and I had some other expenses come up. Here we are 6 months later and I am not in that big of a rush to flash BM3.

so when I install the downpipe and use jb4, on which stage does it delete the check engine light and will it pass inspection.

the old jb4 firmware used to delete the cel but the new one doesnt. if you have the app just delete it. if not use an obd2 scanner to delete it.

No, I get a CEL every now and again, kind of rare. Just double check, clear the code and keep on going.

I've done non-fouler on other cars but always used 2. One get drilled to make the bottom opening same diameter as O2 sensor, the second just goes over the first. Is the BMW 02 sensor shorter?

So I just tried this to pass emissions, and I got a CEL after 120 miles. I installed the spacer on the rear O2, did I do something wrong? Not sure how you all are going 10s of thousands of miles without a CEL, I got one after 120.
