The only piece I'd recommend replacing preemptively on the coolant system is the overflow hose from the upper radiator hose to the coolant reservoir.
I just noticed you're in Sterling, VA so that's "close" to me in Frederick County, MD.

The other item that may be worth it to replace is Part #3.

When I removed that the fitting into the engine block was cracked.

I replaced it with this which was a metal fitting.

You're right, that's the one that goes in near the oil filter housing on the head, right? Luckily I had just done my ofhg so the hose is new. But yes, that's another one that breaks often.

Yeah, it's right near the oil filter housing on the head. I did have to disconnect the oil cooler lines in order to access those 10mm bolts for the coolant pipe flange.

Do you track with NCC or PCA Potomac at Summit Point?

I'm currently doing auto-x with NCC, but looking to do an HPDE soon. Either at summit point or dominion.

My 2013 335i reached 71k a few weeks ago so I decided it was time for a coolant system refresh.
I replaced waterpump, thermostat, headertank cap, bleed screw and O ring. I changed the mickymouse hose, the three way waterpump hose, the radiator top hose and the expansion tank return hose. I also carried out a liquid moly coolant system flush and i reverse flushed the heater matrix with distilled vinegar and copious amounts of water.
The car thanked me by giving me a post cat oxygen sensor failure! 🤣
