F30 transmission tunes?

Does anyone have any experience with XHP transmission tunes, or any alternatives?

Hey Mate, I have a BootMod3 tune which also comes with a free optional transmission tune. They do offer a tune for the B58.

Overall experience is positive. I only wanted it for lifting the torque limit I had in 3rd gear, but the retune also improved the sport/+/dsc off/manual driving modes (faster shifting and more aggressive auto mode in sport + with shifter in sport). In comfort the changes are a bit unnecessary but resetting the adaptations does as much for its behaviour as the tune does.

XHP is much more flexible with lots of options, but for the price I just couldn't justify it when it came free with a tune I had already purchased.

Thanks mate - I have seen that Bootmod3 tune, but I’ve got the opposite problem to you. I’ve already got a DME tune that I’m happy with, so don’t want to pay for something I don’t need!

I see you’ve got a Wagner DP - are you happy with it? I’m tossing up between it, and the Akra DP. I’ve got a Remus catback, and I’m looking for the performance benefits of a DP but with as little increase in noise as possible

Well if you're worried about noise definitely don't go catless, can make quite a difference, although b58 could be different. Performance wise I'm getting really good results with it. No issues with fitment or quality, I fitted it myself without too much effort.

From what I understand, if you're trying to get the best downpipe for the quality of the cat then FABSPEED is the go to, they do a 300CEL, but its expensive. I went with WAGNER cause I could source it locally and got a good price when packaged with the intercooler.

I would also think if you're in the Akra budget range then you'd be better getting the Remus one cause you know it'll bolt up perfectly. (Assuming they offer one, N55 one is $$$)

Would have jumped on the Remus Downpipe, but they don’t have one for the B58
