DISCLAIMER: YOU MAKE ANY CHANGES TO YOUR CAR AT YOUR OWN RISK!

I don't take credit for this I found a YouTube short showing how to do this with Esys. I'm just explaining how to do it with Bimmercode in expert mode.

I have an LCI 2019 440i F32. This will shrink the black lines separating the various camera regions into a more cohesive image when using top view. Before and after pictures are attached.

Click on the TRSVC module. Enable expert mode. Click on "3006 Tow hitch/MMI-Configuration". Click on "DID 41B6 default UV MMI configuration".

I had "F018" selected by default which is "0х40 0х01 0x78 0x18 0x78 0xА0 0xA0 0x0E 0x78 0х0C 0x0C 0х00".

The video I found said to change the last two octets from "0x0C 0x00" to "0x00 0x00".

I wanted to use the predefined options so the closest option to change to is "F006, F006M" which is "0х40 0х01 0x78 0x18 0x78 0xА0 0xA0 0x0E 0x78 0х00 0x00 0х00" so select that. Click code.

That will change the last 3 octets from "0x0C 0x0C 0x00" to "0x00 0x00 0x00" which the 3rd to the last octet the video didn't say to change but this worked for me and I haven't seen any unforeseen side effects.

This is a small change but it makes you wonder why the TRSVC module wasn't configured like this from the factory for the F3x.

I love tweaks like that, but as you said - it makes one wonder why it was not like that on first place…?
Is it maybe in order to symbolise tiny blind zones between the cameras coverage?
And does the change have (dormant) impact on anything else?
I also wonder who discovered that and how/why? Did the original video provide any background info about the setting/parameters?

I haven't noticed any unforeseen side effects at least not yet lol. Hopefully my bumper doesn't fall off! It seems the cameras are covering the extra black space without issue. I'm not sure who discovered this the original video doesn't provide any background information. It's a short so he doesn't explain much and cuts to the chase.
