2013 F30 X-drive : currently on a square set up - 18X8 ET34 225/45/18
I am looking to get the following staggered set up for summer; Front: 19X8.5 with 245/40/19 Rear: 19x10 with 275/35/19 Over all diameter for front and rear is within 1% (as required for x-drive) I don't intended to lower the car and this set up fill up the wheelwell gap by 8mm rear and 10mm front. Can someone please suggest the right Offset for this setup and are there any issues with this setup? Also, what's the maximum allowed backspacing for rear before you need spacers? I believe my current wheels backspace is 149mm. Thanks! |

Something like ET32 front and ET45 rear would be a good start when you searching for wheels.

Does anyone know the minimum offset needed for the front wheel to clear the brake calipers on 2013 BMW 335xi F30 N55? I know the stock wheels are 34mm but i want to know the minimum. If nobody knows I will check it later today or tomorrow on my car. Thank you!

F: 8.5x19" ET38, 235/35-19 R: 9.5x19" ET40, 265/30-19 The rear wheels however are 11mm more aggressive than the front. To get a more equal fitment front and rear you might like ro add spacers up front (5mm). The tire sizes are 2% shorter than OEM. This means increased wheel gap, increased speedometer error and less comfort. I recommend to go up one step in tire profile, i.e. 235/40-19 front and 265/35-19 rear! |

MFR: Ray's Japan. Top grade, monoblock forge, pressure forged (10,000 ton press). occasional F1 supplier and BBS HRE Vorsteiner 19-20" manufacturer- Ray's has the only press and tech that can do it in the 19+ sizes. https://www.rayswheels.co.jp/product...=en&wheel=ZE40 Model: ZE40. Ray's strongest alloy monoblock forged F1 and racing wheel. Next technological upgrade in 10 years (Ray's). Color: Diamond Dark Gunmetal (MM). Either that or blue or gold. LOL. Size: 235/40-19 8.5" ET 35 and 275/35-19 9.5" ET45. Tires: Michelin PS4S. Mass: 21 and 19 kgs. 26 lbs lighter than original 405M, and 43 lbs lighter than last summer's 361 BMW M perf 20" set. Feel: Planted, comfy, responsive. Faster. 30+hp faster (10%) due to unsprung weight saving. Looks: Much wider than the rear iPhone pic. Solid sideways. Draws attention on brakes, and clears access for carwash or hand wash cleaning. Steering: Heavier. More responsive. Issue: Figuring out the correct 19" tire pressure. Sticker (Pirelli) was 38/44. Performance: 0.3 s gain from last summer, 0-60 4 to 4.1s Weight saving nearly 400+Lbs curb weight removal. Cost: Higher (1000 USD higher) due to import from Japan>US>Canada. Peanuts cheaper in the US, LOWER than the original 225 255 405M BMW Taiwanese set!! Half the BBS HRE cost, also made by Ray's.... Regrets: Leaving the dealership in 2014 with the 20". Cost me 6,000$ in depreciation, a second 20" 361 set, curb rash fix, straightening, Pirelli 12,00- miles per rear RFTs... Caps are also coming. They are center-screw-on, Aluminium. The 23.5kg shot is for the worn out Winter Sottozero 8" 225/45-18. The much wider and higher Ray's are lighter than even the smaller winter rim. Last edited by Musashi; 05-27-2017 at 07:36 AM.. |

After lots of back and forth on rims and wheels, I'm pretty sure I'm ready to order some this week. I'm leaning towards the VMR 810s in Gunmetal Grey.
My only problem now is the tire sizes. I seem to be reading all kinds of setups and looking to confirm before I order. 19x8.5 235/35/19 fronts 19x9.5 265/30/19 rears Sound good? Any issues with the xdrive with this setup? I'd prefer to go with the OEM setup of the 225/40 and 255/35 if the above setup even has a chance of causing problems. Not sure on the offsets of the 810s. Do I assume that is what will make this setup work or not? edit: Just read that I can get these in et35 front and et40 rear. That sounds right to me, but still wondering if that 235 and 265 setup is ok. Thanks in advance. Cheers!

Hello! Guys, help me pls!
Could u tell me if r18 8.5j et 13 with 225/45/18 will fit f30 with mpe -20 mm suspension? I know that Avant Garde m310 r19 9.5j et 33 with 255/35 fit the rear axle ok. Comparing to them my estimated setup goes +5 mm on the fender side. So probably the rears gonna fit ok im not sure. And ive got no idea about front wheels. Hoping for ur help! |

I'm looking at a set of wheels on Tire Rack. The closest they come to proper offsets is:
Front 19x8.5 ET38 Rear 19x9.5 ET35 I would like to run: 235 or 245 40 19 in the front, and 265 35 19 in the rear. Any fitment or Xdrive issues with this setup? Thank you. |

Just a quick question, I'm currently in the market for some rear tires. Can I run a 265/35/19 on a rear style 442? Or if possible 275/35/19? Seems like all the tire sites says that 265 can only be fitted on atleast 9" rim width. Please correct if I'm wrong, but is the rear rims style 442 only has 8.5" rim width? Thanks in advance!

This is the info provided by the tire manufacturers.
255/35-19: 9" wheel recommended, 8.5-10" allowed 265/35-19: 9.5" wheel recommended, 9-10.5" allowed It's still possible to actually fit 265 tires on 8.5" wide wheels, but it will look odd/bulgy and it isn't an approved fitment. |
