b8's

not the biggest upgrade but having B8's installed tomorrow, rear only, paired with H&R springs. May eventually get the struts as well, but next purchase are either depo headlights or bootmod3 (open to suggestions). Will review after install.

Garage List
So you're putting H&R springs on the rear, but what about the front?

Shouldnt mix and match shocks.

Those are the most important part of the suspension system. They control HOW your car moves and reacts.

Not advisable if the front shocks are OEM. It's very likely the rear suspension will be stiffer than the front suspension, increasing oversteer.

Install complete and got to take it on a good test run around the city, where there are plenty of bumps, turns and open road moments.

The car stops better, accelerates better, feels way more planted, takes turns way better and overall takes bumps, dips and roads with hazards on them much more confidently. It used to feel like a low-rider and would literally bounce all over the place. Now it's planted. There is a little oversteer but it still corners waaay better than before.

This is one of those mods that I would say to definitely do (if you just have springs) and not to let "perfect" be the enemy of "good."

I will eventually get new front struts, b6's or b8's at some point, but for now loving how it handles. Actually feels sporty. I was surprised at how different it feels accelerating and coming to a stop.

I will be doing headlights next and then down the road new front struts. Yes there is slightly more bounce up front, but you can feel how much more weight is distributed in the rear, there WAS more movement overall in the rear and that's basically been eliminated.
