CEL (fuel level issue)

193208 tank level, plausibility: deviation between consumption and Level Change
193002 tank level sensor, left, signal: short circuit to ground

This of course threw a CEL and the fuel gauge would show 1/4 when I filled it the day before. I would turn off the car and the fuel level would show 3/4, then while driving would show empty and a few minutes later would show full. No this is not the JB4 hijacking the fuel gauge to show turbo boost level.

So I brought my car in for service for above issue and they are replacing my fuel tank, which I have to assume includes the fuel level sensors.

I thought I would share and I'll let you know the final outcome.

Did they say what caused it to be faulty in the first place?
