Trying to make this painless for you
Hey guys! New owner here of a 2016 328D. First Euro in a while. Last one i did nothing with. This one I am interested in putting wheels on. I'd like to preface this post with i've been looking all over for wheel types, offsets, whether I want squared or staggered and stances. A lot of info to take in. I found Apex's guide that they put together. I've really been digging this look:
https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...2&postcount=57 In my research, everyone says that +20 is too aggressive. I have already ordered the H&R supersport springs. What I was wondering if I should stick with safe: Front: 19x8.5" ET35 with 235/40-19 tires Rear: 19x9.5" ET43 with 265/35-19 tires I just want to make sure I get it right before I spend the money. I dont want any rub or anything that will damage the car. About 15 years ago I used to bag cars so tearing apart the suspension doesn't bother me. The biggest bother is getting these freaking wheels right. LOL. The hardest thing I had to deal with was clearance for 24's back then. If there is anyone that could help me with pictures of something similar and give some info and insight, it would be greatly appreciated. The guy that I posted above ended up selling his car and hasnt been on site since 2015 or else id reach out to him. Thank you in advance. |

I would run 245 front and 275 rears. It'll fit the wheels better and fill up the fenders a lot better.

If you want as flush as possible look to an et of 40 out back. Could push it to 35 if lowering as well.

I went from 225/45 and 255/40 to 245/40 and 275/35 and the difference in diameters isn't noticeable. Quote:
And this was before with the stock wheels (same ride height). Even though my new setup was slightly smaller diameter than stock (like 1/4" shorter") it looks pretty similar and the wider tires helped it fill up the wheel wells much better. And with 245/275 you can still easily keep the front and rear diameters the same. |

kern417 Yes but those tire sizes are 26.72" tall and are more inline with the F10. The F30 is 26" while the 235/40 i proposed is at 26.3.

The only way to keep them the same as stock is 1. run stock tire sizing or 2. go up to 255/285, which is hard to fit without perfect offsets. otherwise it will always be slightly taller/shorter. |
