iStep, DME Lock and Kerma tunes - Question
I'm interested in getting a stage 2 Kerma tune but I'm not sure if we are affected by the DME being locked with a relatively newer bootloader. My iStep is a 2019-03-530 that seems to be in the range of locked DMEs. Are they for certain engines only or are we involved in that as well? If we are does anyone know the specific bootloader is that would be locked?

(Technically they have all been locked since the beginning.)
For the North American BMW diesels there are no bootloader locks that can't be flash tuned on these. The gas ecus were different where 19-03-xxx introduced a new bootloader that hasn't been cracked. On diesels they never did this. Keep in mind that pre-LCI DDE and LCI DDE were different, but they're both flashable.
