Oil Weight

Currently tuned Stage 2 440 with around 70k miles.
I currently use 0w-20 but since this will be my first summer with the car should I switch to a thicker oil like 5w-30?
I’ve been getting mixed answers with some people telling me to keep 0w-20 and some people telling me to switch.

I still have the free factory oil changes, I have them use 5W30 for the free fills, and I use 5W40 in between factory intervals (5k factory, 5k my own oil)

Love the car brother. Your car looks exactly the same as mine did from factory minus it being a 2018 and yours having presumably the executive headlights for the F3x. Hard AF

I was buying 0W20 (factory oil). The tuner shop I went to recommended 0W30 for more protection on stage 2.

You can request bmw to switch to 5w30 for the free factory oil changes.
