THE Chargepipe (VRSF) Issues continue

So I got my replacement VRSF chargepipe after waiting 2 and a half months. The fitment is still off. If my experience has told me anything avoid this company at all costs. I'm not even going to attempt to get another replacement, and will just have the part machined to fit properly. I wanted to let everyone know my experience and warn everyone of the issues I've been having

Sorry to hear your patience has not paid off. How far off was it and at what end? I was really hoping and had faith they would get it corrected.

Any pics of where the fitment was off? I am guessing right at the Turbo side. Seems like some companies have had fitment issues here and there with some batches so not just VRSF. Also my stock downpipe had a leak on the bottom section where it slips into the exhaust from factory and still did even after 2 new downpipes etc... Went custom and all was solved, haha.

The issue was initially loose fitment with the upper pipe connecting to the throttle body. This time around the issue was in the same area, but one of the cuts in the pipe to hold the pipe in place with a set of prongs was cut too small. I don't have any pictures as the shop went straight to cutting and machined it to fit.

No pictures since the piece was cut to fit immediately after I found the problem. It was the upper pipe connecting to the throttle body where I had a similar issue on my first pipe. I'm slowly learning that custom work seems to be the best bet for my car as well haha

You're totally right, but he is referring to a CP fitment and not DP.

VRSF has some SERIOUS issues to fix. I don't understand how they're making any money whatsoever

Very glad I dodged them. Ended up going with CSF for an intercooler. I did recently have a friend install the CP and FMIC from VRSF and it went well. They are just too inconsistent to chance it imo, especially if you aren't doing it yourself

Our most popular is VRSF or you can go with the Evolution Racewerks pipe.

Mine was fine, ez install. Until we get some pictures I don't think we should start bashing VRSF as a company... Quality control issues aren't very common on metal pipes.

Still hoping VRSF fixes their CP issues, but I went with ER for $80 more and fit was tight to factory TB and VRSF 5" HD FMIC. I couldn't be happier. I also painted before bolting up.

Sorry, but you do realize we are discussing a 328 not 335 right?
Maybe VRSF has spot on 335 CP.

Well I'm going to update this thread. I received my ER charge pipe in the mail today. Fucking fantastic. Unlike the VRSF charge pipe which arrived in a box with no paperwork, no receipt, and no instructions.. Nothing. Just the two pipes and clamps. The ER pipe arrived (way ahead of schedule) in a box and included a list of parts to verify in the box, a nicely typed up (color) set of instructions, and a receipt. Oh man so nice what a couple extra bucks gets ya.

Mike at XP thank you.. For helping me right this mess my car is finally as I was hoping it would be three months ago. Charge pipe is top notch construction and fit with zero issues.

What I have learned today on the forums is that I should not be cheap and should just spend the extra couple dollars on ER products instead of VRSF for my N26. I was going to go VRSF fmic, catless downpipe, and chargepipes. Now I am going to go Evolution Racewerks catted downpipe and chargepipes. I'm worried the ER fmic will be too big and will give me some lag. Would Active Autowerks be any better?

Get a GPlus intercooler on amazon/eBay. More than enough unless you plan on tracking the car.

nothing wrong with ER but there are other brands which are very high quality fit and finish. also, it is not necessary to run everything of the same brand. with the exception of the catless downpipe and adding the turbo inlet pipe, i have linked what i have and been using for over three years. also the N20 chargepipe does not have failure issues like the N55, so it is not necessary but if you desire it anyway, go for it.

back in the day i bought direct from FTP and CTS Turbo, however Mike at X-PH and Turner has these stuff on sale, i believe it's free shipping as well.

Im actually looking at ordering the following bundle from x-ph for my N26 except I wanted the ER hiflow catted downpipe not the catless. Also not sure if I need the turbo gasket and clamp. Guess I would order both just to be safe. Do you think I could order the FTP pipes with no logo from x-ph or are they easy to remove? Want chargepipe to look stock.

https://x-ph.com/f-chassis-n20-n26-b...ue-combo-deal/

I haven't really heard anything about the MAD intercooler either so still kinda leaning towards the AA fmic w/ ER cp and dp and putting together my own kit instead of the above.
