Here is a composite dyno chart from all the folks I have data for. When I get the ones I am missing I will add them and replace this graph.

I took everyone's best run and then added SAE correction to the data. Enjoy.

14 cars ran over the course of 7 hours and so many people got some good hard data on how their cars perform on a dyno. We all know that dyno data is just part of the performance picture, but having it goes a long way to understanding the performance envelop your vehicle is capable of.

I've got everyone's dyno data, except for two people, who I will reach out to separately. I've had a copy of the WinPEP8 software for some time and had Peter @ SN Motorsport showed me how to add in the correction factor yesterday and display our dyno data in HP/TQ over RPM. The finalized graphs in the datasheet will show your 3 best runs in this format. Naturally, adding in SAE correction will lower our numbers a bit, but it will give us more accurate data.

It will take me a few days to get the interviews, dyno videos and dyno graphs embedded in the datasheet, but once it is complete, I will post it up for all to use.

A big Thank You to everyone for making this a productive, entertaining, positive and friendly time together.

Special thanks to Diegov209 and Dheeth-F30 for being there from start to finish to help me run the event. You two are friends for life yo.
Anytime, anywhere, anyday brotherman!!! It was a very well put together event, it went way smoother and much faster than expected bro 👏🏼 thanks for putting in the word for the extra runs bro, much appreciated 😊 looking forward to more drives once I come back!!! 🚗 💨

Thanks everyone for coming thru, it was nice meeting y'all.

Great work putting this all together N26Ghost

If you don't mind using this thread to talk about the numbers...

I'm a little surprised by some of the N20 results. If I were to guess, I would've put you at ~240whp, but that was clearly not the case. And Diegov209 only made 12 more whp than you, when he's running a catless DP with a FBO ethanol setup. Curious to hear from him if he was happy with the way his car was running. bmwchue was the only N20 guy that broke 250whp and I would've guess higher for him as well. I was under the impression these were 300whp cars on a stage 2 setup. They run 13.0-13.1 in the 1/4 mile at 100-102mph pretty consistently, but I don't think that would be possible at the power levels we're seeing here and the weight of these cars. Is there something I'm missing here? The temperature and humidity don't seem that bad...

Yes, we will be.

In this instance, I think what you are seeing are the stringent effects of SAE correction... I know that my prior dyno numbers have all used either no correction or standard correction, which made them appear higher.

I have copies of all of my runs and have applied the same SAE correction factor, so as to get as close to a fair comparison as possible, and have seen consistent gains.

Are these numbers what I'd hoped for? Nah. But they are what I have and at least I am heading in the right direction.

As far as times go, Diegov209, bmwchue , Dheeth-F30 and I have done dragy runs together and can attest that the dyno numbers do not tell the entire story on the street.

From a start, Diego and I can gap Dheeth-F30 from about 0-40, but after that the top end of the N55 takes care of business and our N20/N26s just don't have the beans to hang on.

Diego's car was having a consistent misfire on cylinder 3, so his dyno showing is not at all indicative of what his car normally puts out.

As for Nhia, his N26 was the strongest on the dyno by bunches, but not as strong as I'd expect given the extent of the modifications he's made.

All in all, not everyone had a solid run, there were some tune issues and engine problems here and there. But we had plenty of fun.

Once I have the data consolidated, I will post with the master sheet where we can all discuss each car, its modifications, the driver interview, dyno video and dyno data as a group.

Looking forward to more lively convo.

Gotcha. You're comment about the dyno numbers not telling the whole story is what I was getting at with the 1/4 mile thing... Either way I'm sure you guys had a blast. Looking forward to to the master sheet so we can really learn about what went on and discuss the numbers more.

I think we are able to hit low 13s because of all the high torque we got but as far as hp goes not much of a gain but every one counts.
BMS wmi coming soon i have all the parts just waiting for my days off to route the hoses. thinking of routing under the car than inside the interior but well see.

Yah but 1/4 mile trap speed is a direct product of horsepower to weight, and 100-104 mph suggest higher numbers than what we're seeing here. But you are right, the high torque numbers are a huge factor in the times we see.

I don't know that I need to say this or not, nothing you said suggested I do, but I'm in no way shape or form questioning the validity of these numbers (not sure how you deny dyno numbers anyway), just trying to understand them better.

Hey lol just got on bimmerpost lol but yeah I was pretty suprised by the numbers makes me think something may be off with my car my car was acting funky as I was running on a stg 2 91 octane map but had a tad bit e85 in it so it was making it act funky also was only boosting 15/17 psi max on this map its an older version of 91 ver 2 newer versions on my car makes it sound so loud idk why so Halim is working on them. It is wierd though cause I can gap dheethf30 jk he pulls on me uptop. Starting to think my turbo going out or something I didnt do my custom e30 tune cause im starting to misfire uptop and my full e85 was in the works but wasnt done in time so had to switch to 91. Ill share some logs with you bro so you can check some things out.

Alright that's starting to make sense, I'd have been shocked if 222whp was the healthy number for your car after all the stuff you did.

And yah, logs would be awesome

Hey all,

Here are the completed videos for the event. They've been uploaded to YouTube in 1080p. Also, I've created a shared folder in Google Photos where the original content is saved. Rather than make one big event video, I made individual videos and a playlist that contains them all. The vehicle data and mod lists are in the descriptions of each video. Let me know what you think...

Top right of that sheet shows that they provided you the uncorrected data. The data published in the videos has SAE correction applied. There is definitely a difference in the numbers, the corrected values being more accurate.
