I've been hearing a lot of "wind noise" while driving lately, with my windows closed. I decided to "investigate" today and noticed that the plastic housing on my driver side mirror is completely off. Tried to take a pic to show this and get some opinion - can't really see it properly in the pic, but here it is anyway.
Has anyone seen this happen before? A few months ago, the motor for the folding mirror on this side stopped working, and I was going to look to replace it. Then the mirror folding worked once or twice randomly when I tried it, so I stopped looking for a replacement. Now I feel like this, whatever impact that caused the mirror to come off the side molding or whatever, might have caused the motor / folding issues as well. Looking for insight into 1- what could have caused this, 2- if anyone has seen this before, and 3- what exact part(s) I need to replace at this point. I also took a video which shows the issue a bit better.. but can't seem to attach that? |

One can't draw any conclusions from the photo. I'd remove the mirror and assuming there are no broken parts reinstall it. If there are broken parts I'd replace it.
