Could you please tell me what the 172X designation means. I have a 2013 335 with a build date of 3/2013 and I'm hoping this update is compatible. Thanks.

they are demonstrating improvements to their off the shelf tune, so i assume the dyno pulls were done back to back or at least in very similar conditions so that would eliminate variables of fuel, dyno, humidity, altitude, miles on car, maintenance, etc..

as for datalogs of boost, knock, timing, afr, etc.. i've never seem any tuner release those, but i'm sure people will soon post those of their own personal vehicles.

Atmospheric conditions are actually on the dyno graphs they posted.

Most stuff is stated in the dynographs such as humidity, temp etc.

We use 98-100RON fuel here which is equivalent to 93-94OCT. Ofcourse, the car is maintained as per BMW standards. Mileage is 50k miles.

Boost is around 12-13 psi downlow tapering up to 17 psi @4500RPM then tapers due to the nature of the PWG turbo.

Any other info we can provide ?

I'll assume yes since they did a stage 2. That requires a downpipe and if people have that more than likely they have upgraded fmic, intake and exhaust.

I'd like to see what a stage 1 on a stock downpipe does.

What supporting mods were on the car? Seems to underperform compared to the version 6 tune. On the protuningfreaks Instagram they posted a dyno chart of a pwg n55 with what appears to be stock turbo and 93 oct on stg 2 tune making 380 whp/480wtq.

I personally thought the same that's why I asked if the car was FBO. Just seemed low but maybe I'm expecting too much. Still good gains tho!

Whatever PTF did to pwg boost control is on point. The extra power is fantastic, just wow.

Has anyone tried "stage 1 91 octane" yet? I just did and the car does "fee" like the boost doesn't build as quickly as version 7.1. With 7.1 my car would feel very punchy even with ~50% throttle. However, this tune does feel a lot smoother though.

Any info on this @proTUNING Freaks ? Really curious what mods would cause a 20whp difference since both cars a running the Bm3 tune. I plan on going FBO shortly with a bm3 tune and I'm wondering how I can achieve the higher 380whp shown. Thanks

2H maps are still absolute trash at altitude. Tapers to 9PSI by redline. I get better boost to redline with the stock turbo map...

It seems like some people do not realize that BM3 is a PTF product. They are the creators.
