BM3 help, needs license verify to relock dme
I am getting nowhere in searching this issue. BM3 support ticket response was super generic. They said "you dont have a locked bootloader so just flash to stock and relock the dme."
My question, I try to do that and it has an error, see photo. I cant figure out how to verify. I have re-downloaded the app several times, tried bm3 wifi obd dongle, tried cable, nada. I logged out and back in on website and the app, there isn't a verify check anywhere. I can flash to stock or any OTS tune just fine, I just can't relock this damn DME. I have to smog and I am getting frustrated with bm3 support and lack of info. I would really appreciate any help from you guys. Thanks ![]() Last edited by ErikB; 06-04-2026 at 12:22 PM.. |

I'm using the Android app, it can't do it. I'm going to borrow a laptop and see if that will work. This app doesn't even have the license portion that iPhone or Windows has. lame

Well, a laptop worked. figured I'll leave this up in case someone else comes across this issue.
I could flash any map with the Android app and wifi bm3 adapter, it worked fine. but I couldn't relock the DME and flash "offline". the Android app doesn't allow you to talk to the DME and the internet simultaneously. So I got a laptop and installed the bm3 windows app. Then I used the OBD enet wired connection to the laptop. Same issue. I went to relock and the program threw the same warning. luckily, the laptop allowed me to turn wifi back on and run the license check while I was still connected to the DME. Still not sure why I had too go through this hassle, but the fix for me was the wired enet cable and a laptop. so now I'm relocked finally. |
