SoCal Area F30 General / Coding Meet: Sunday, March 30th, 2014 9:00am
It looks like it's time for another coding meet!
What: A general F30 get together and coding meet. When: Sunday, March 30th, 2014 at 9:00am until whenever we're done coding, probably around noon or so, then grab some lunch. Where: Let's try a new meeting place in the south bay (recommended by IssyM3): 500 N Carson Town Ctr Carson, CA 90745 (in the Kmart parking lot next to Starbucks) https://maps.google.com/maps?q=33.840698,+-118.285210 It looks like it has plenty of parking. Please post a message on this thread if you plan on attending, and indicate if you want to code your car so I'll know how many cars will need to be done. Each car takes 20-30 minutes depending on how many features are coded. I'll stick around until everyone that wants to be coded is coded. If there are any coders out there willing to help out, please chime in. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Below is the current coding list summary of the things that can be coded on F30's. For anyone that wants to update their navigation map, please PM me for details. |

Hey guys,
I lost all my codes when I got my PPK installed. I have a lunch meeting but will most likely swing by in the morning to get some codes and catch up with you guys. Thanks for always doing this for the community Frogman! Anyone going to the LTMW meet the day before?

Hoping to come but not sure my new F31 will arrive in time. It's just south of Cabo San Lucas heading northward. Would love to have a few things coded, including anti-dazzle high beams. Very cool that you do this!

Count me as a maybe as well. Would like for my mirrors to fold automatically when I shut my car off.

I just got mine back for the 30K service and they erased everything on mine too (as expected). The car just isn't the same without my codes! I recoded it last night; so much better! |

Can you play DVD's in park now? If so, then yes, we can code your car to allow you to play DVD's while in motion. Coding is not restricted to nav-based cars; there are lots of things that can be coded that don't relate to the tech package. Last edited by Frogman; 03-28-2014 at 10:07 AM.. |

I'll be there on Sunday. Lived without Coding for about 3 months now and it's driving me nuts. Mine will be the dirtiest car there like always

I have not driven it all that much since I got it back, but so far, I don't really notice any difference.
I do know that others have reported a better steering wheel feel with the new software and I was hoping to feel a difference. I'll have to drive a canyon this weekend and test it out! |

My car feels broken after the new software...
... or i dont know if its because my loaner was a torque train 535d that makes my car feels all the sudden so weak... |

I started with a stripped X1 loaner as the wife was thinking about getting one and wanted to try it. It wasn't too bad. A bit heavier and a much rougher ride, but the steering feel was great! The wife really hated the ride of the X1, so we turned it in and I asked for an M5 . The guy said sure ... (with a wink), and handed me the keys to a stripped '14 320i's (oh well). I could really feel the reduced HP & torque, and missing amenities in the 320i. I was really glad to get my car back! BTW: They probably reset your drive train adaptations (they did on mine), so the car needs to re-learn your driving style. Give it two weeks and you should be back to normal. |
