BMW CCA Discount

My dealer told me that the $500 BMW CCA rebate/discount is only payable to the customer at the end of their lease term (rather than being applied to the cap cost after the discount off msrp is negotiated), is this correct?

Granted it doesn't make a huge difference to me because I'm coming off a lease now so if that's the case I'd get the credit for my 235, but I figured I'd ask the forum to see if this is accurate

Your dealer is incorrect. You can apply for the BMW CCA rebate once you sign the lease document and accept delivery. All you have to do is fill out the rebate application and send a copy of your signed lease document and you are all set. BMWNA will send you the $500 check after it has cleared the BMW CCA office. The rebate has nothing to do with the lease ..... it's a cash rebate directly to you.
One of the limitations is that you must be a BMW CCA for at least 1 year prior to delivery of the vehicle.
I just did the rebate on a European Delivery / Lease. I submitted the application upon our return from Europe and the check arrived in a few weeks.
GREAT PROGRAM!!!

Just as an FYI, the BMW CCA rebate is not applicable if you are receiving any sort of fleet discount, or a USAA discount etc. Since the BMW CCA rebate is something that you send in for, people think they can send it in anyway and somehow get the rebate even if they get a fleet discount or USAA discount.

You cant (people have tried). BMW CCA checks the information on the deal, so they know what other discounts you might have received. Since so many people qualify for one of these type of discounts now, I figured I would point it out.

Lease credits and such do stack with the BMW CCA so check your deal to see what discounts you are getting, to know if you will be able to get this rebate.

Not using any fleet or usaa discounts - only those available through BMW at the time. So I should be all good!

Thanks for the info! Much appreciated!

You can also get $250 for CPO, by the way.

Was going to use it myself, but then saw the fine print (one of many restrictions):

"BMW CCA Member who purchases their off-lease vehicle via the CPO
Program is not eligible for payment for same VIN as a CPO vehicle."

have you logged into BMWCCA's website to check status?

Otherwise, send an email to Michelle as stated above.

By the way BMW CCA has eliminated the 1 year membership requirement to claim the rebate. You just have to be a member prior to the purchase / lease.

I believe you have to purchase a 3-year membership to get this deal.
The BMW CCA office is currently moving from Greenville to Greer, so they might take some time to reply.

NEW UPDATE: Purchase a three-year membership or longer, and immediately meet the membership qualification for the Membership Reward Rebate Program! https://www.bmwcca.org/rebate-update

I just got my $1000 BMWCCA rebate check yesterday for my i3. The check comes from BMWFS by the way. I applied on 11/19/2018, so it took approximately 3 months almost to the day.

I just applied for my M3 CS rebate! Come May 20th I'll be rich!
