2016 328i Getting different noise while driving

Hi guys .. i have a 2016 328i with M sport option ... lately i have been hearing a different noise appears to be coming from the engine bay ... sounds like the noise when window is open slightly. The noise is more noticeable while driving on a soft tarmac b/w 40 to 50mph. I have attached the video below ... can you please hear that and let me know what could be the reason.

some weird noise like zigzigzigzig ... more clear from 30secs in the below video

https://youtu.be/OpFiziHms2g

Thanks,
Kishore.

Hard to tell from your video. Is it the air like noise or the rumbling noise?

It feels more like air noise especially if i keep the vehicle constantly at 40/45mph.

Can you pinpoint where the sound is coming from?
You say it's coming from the engine?
Check the engine to see if anything, intake pipes etc haven't come loose.
No loss of power?

A gentleman in YouTube advised to increase the speed and see if the problem gets worse. If yes then it's tires issue else keep the speed same and change the rpm to different value if the noise gets worse then it's engine issue.

I tested those options and seems to be tires issue... I changed my tires around 8months back and noticing this issue from last one month after a long drive.

What tyres do you have?
Run flats do have tyre roar depending on speed and the road surface.
On smooth roads they are relatively quiet but on rough roads the noise is loud. Maybe this is what you are experiencing
Run flats are one of the worst ideas. The likelihood of getting a flat is unlikely but then you have to live with the noise.

I have pirelly cinturato p7 rft ... but I don't think that's causing the problem... because the noise i hear is on soft roads where they are supposed to be quiet. On rough roads the noise is barely noticeable due to the tire roar that you're mentioning.

Have you tried rebalancing your wheels? Do you notice any unusual vibrations while driving?

My 340 had a bad wheel bearing that gave an odd rumbling noise that sounded just like when my last car had a wheel alignment issue. Hard to tell from the video though.

If you jack up the front and spin the wheels, one didn't spin as smooth.

Yes rebalancing done. No vibration, but i feel slight flex in chassis side to side even for a very small bump.

My case was something they call "rail bearings". If the car is shipped by rail, and one of the needles in the wheel bearing is sitting in a certain way with no grease, you get a electrostatic arc that scores the needle. It would be a warranty item.
