No dice. She said it arrived at port on 6/7, but still shows waiting for a vessel. Looks like Parsifal for me on 6/15 most likely. Bummer for the extra wait, but also thought it'd be awesome to have the car come over on Freedom and then pick it up July 4th weekend!

No I was going to do MPE but decided I could do it myself later.

MPS, spacers, 35% tint, and white reflectors are going on as soon as I get it though!

Hey bud, you picking up your car on Saturday? Mine got into the Bayside BMW prep center in Queens yesterday morning, guessing yours would have arrived at Rallye on the same day.

I got delayed because it turns out the finance manager was off Wednesday's and my salesman is off Thursday's, so I had to get delivery pushed back to Friday. Got it all scheduled for 1pm tomorrow, can't wait!

What? You cant just go in and sign papers and be off with your car? Don't you just sign papers agreeing to the terms that you discussed when you ordered your car?

Yeah I thought it was odd, but I've never leased and have no idea how it works. The salesman I went through is my good friend's father and he's the one that said the earliest they could do is Friday, so that's what I went with. Just an extra 2 days in the near 3 month long process anyway haha.

man, I admire your patience. I would have thrown a fit, waving my arms, stomping my feet, and making a complete jackass of myself. I told my dealer to make sure it's ready for me the same day that it arrives or to not even let me know that it has arrived.. That would be two sleepless nights.. My 435i is on the Fedora ship (currently about two weeks away from it's destination in Oxnard Ca). As it stands, the excitement is killing me.

Yeah, I don't need the handshaking, pat on the back, hand me the keys ceremony. I'll be there the minute my car is ready to go, as long as the dealership's open haha. My salesguy is a friend too, but if he told me to wait two days while my car sits there ready...I'd tell him to wind his neck in.

Why would there be a delay in a dealer getting a title? My car got to the dealer on Thursday and says it wont be ready tomorrow because they dont have the title yet? This is so frustrating.

Edit: Says there is still chance they get it today.

Now says the insurance has to be set up today because the DMV is closed tomorrow. I still have to return my previous car and am not cancelling the insurance till it is no longer in my possession.

Is this normal? I have gotten cars on weekends all the time when the insurance was set up on a Saturday.

I just want the damn car already and it is hard for me to take a day off during the week. Grrrrrrrrrrrr

Every state is different since the DMV procedures are. I had my insurance agent prearrange everything and then set it aside until the car arrived. When my CA told me the car was there I just had to let her know and she was able to get the insurance dealt with in about 2 hours. There is no major DMV work for NH cars since we issue temp tags. However I know when I went to pick up the car it was Memorial Day weekend and they were scrambling for MA customers because they need to have the cars registered with plates before they can be driven in MA and their RMV's are closed on the weekends, plus holiday etc.

When I asked the customer rep on the phone she said it didn't say and that they fix any recalls at vpc and its normal. I highly doubt recalls were issues in a less then a month. I'm just guessing the grill was the delay. The irony of this is that I had called on the 12th and I was told that car would be at the dealer on the 19th.
