Mother's Day not that long ago. I've stopped reading and contributing to threads like the Coronavirus thread, much better for my mental health just to view threads like this! Just wish I could totally remove all news from every device as well.....

when I last visited my Mum I nipped up to see the old house that we lived in and was amazed to see he still had it some 43 years later! And he lives in same house... ETA that a chap a couple of doors away had an E type coupe v12. He still seems to live in same house too - but no sign of the car although it was always in the garage... The Rover P6... brings back a few memories.
My boss had a new one, when I was at my first job as an apprentice, and my transport was a bicycle. First V8 I drove, still remember it well, was working for a Rover/Triumph dealer at the time. |

Being a Rover/Triumph dealer, we had a chance to compare the models. I liked the Triumph range better than Rover. I'd take a Triumph 2.5 P.I. or 2500 S rather than the Rover P6. Stag wasn't bad, but the engine could be the weak link. I had a Sprint, again some were let down by the coolant system. Had to watch how you checked the level and that there was always coolant present at the highest point. |

I had one about 30 years ago (god that makes me sound old). Lovely car, but used to vapourise petrol (maybe I need to review Broncho's Facebook thing), and wasn't actually that fast, as I remember the first time I tried to overtake something. But when you are 19, why not?

However that’s (a) anecdotal and (b) I’m not an engineer so have no idea if it’s true. All I know is my old mans car had some fetching dents in the bonnet just shortly after the warranty expired... |

My son on the right battling it out in one of his championship Go Kart Races the other week. He lives for karting at the moment and we love watching and supporting him on his journey. Looking forward to the day when we can get back to seeing him racing again and the other young kids. I think it will be quite emotional in a way for us a family.

Berlin, 9th November 2019. Our 30th Wedding anniversary and the anniversary of the day the wall came down. First time visit to Berlin, really liked it though Munich remains my favourite German city.

A pic I took today of our local tavern a place I have a huge soft spot for, hopefully coming back better and stronger!

Pics taken this morning. Never been more grateful for our outside space and views over the hills. I no longer get put off that we're on an 80's estate and the houses spoil my view. I just look past them to the hills and count myself lucky. I can't imagine how tough this must be if doing this stuck in a city flat.

People need to stop needless outings. Had request from mother in law to pick something unessential from shops for them. I declined and told her she was being stupid exposing people to germs for unessential shopping. Didnt go down well. When every health professional is telling you to avoid unessential contact. I will follow!!! |
