Glycerin for valve gasket replacement?
So I'm going to replace my valve gasket tomorrow, I havent been able to find any guidance on what to put on the gasket to lubricate it. I found an older post that said glycerin/glycerol which seems like an odd thing to use. Should I use oil instead or nothing?
Greatly appreciate any input |

I'm certainly not an expert, but I would think that a pressed gasket doesn't need lubrication. I can see things like o-rings that slide in or are twisted on do need a light coating to ensure they don't slip/bunch/tear. I replaced my VCG last year, no lube. I don't think any of the instructions I saw indicated to lubricate it either.
