DIY: Footwell Light upgrade (from yellow to white)

Hello everyone.

Since I had some extra time, I've decided to do a mod that I wanted to do since I got the car.

I really hate those footwell yellow LEDs that we get from factory and IDK why BMW decided to put LED but with so low temperature color.
So I have ordered 100 pieces of LEDs from eBay and decided to replace factory ones with 6000K temperature color.

I didn't had any fancy or expensive equipment and I got job done and am pretty happy with the results.

Next thing I wanna do with interior lightning is to replace those yellow dome and reading lights, but unfortunately I think LEDs aren't same like in the footwell.

Love this! What an improvement, is it as simple as it seems, just soldering in the new LED in place of old yellow one?

Hi.

Yes, it is very simple, just solder in new LEDs and that's it.

Only little issue that I had is that everything is so tinny and I struggled a bit at the beginning.
But definitely worth the effort, the results are AMAZING, it's 10 times better.

Can't wait to do the Dome Lights now. Today I have took apart rear dome light, and it seems like these LEDs that I have used for footwell will fit inside Dome Lights. Tomorrow I will myb try to replace them,

This looks great. How did you get the passenger footwell light out? I'm afraid I'm going to break it if I apply anymore force with the pry tool.
