I dropped down from 7.1 -> 6.4 mostly for the exhaust sound changes. I'm not driving aggressive often enough to miss the power change and 6.4 feels smoother overall especially during the first 5 minutes when the trans/engine are cold (shifting is smoother)

Did you have 6.4 in your module already?

I'm trying to find a way to get 6.4 in mine.

I have best result between 5500 - 5800 RPM. Anything over boost begins to taper down.

what intake do you have? your MAF reading is pretty wild and i've seen most max at over ~40 whereas yours is still under that.

Looking at some other's logs. Some look like mine, but many max at 41.4. Think I have something loose?

Are you comparing to other bms intakes? I don't think you can compare to other stock intakes because your intake housing is of a different shape than stock thus the maf readings are out of calibration.

As for the wildness, I'd also compare to other bms to see if they're like that too

That log looks great. Here are a couple I snagged yesterday. My clutch was slipping previously on 7.1 but it's since been upgraded with the 335is/550 clutch and e90 slave for CDV deleted. I had a VCG leak so replaced that last weekend and put in new NGK 97506 plugs gapped at 0.024".

Logs look clean but I'm trying to understand the dip in fuel pressure. I think it's because I'm running WMI and the added fuel is causing STFT to dip down below 0.9 but I thought that would be reflected in HPFP demand as well. Anyway, no HPFP crashes, good boost control and timing. This map feels wicked fast and provides very predictable power to the car.

BTW I logged these using the new auto-log feature with the latest app release. it's pretty cool.

in my experience your dip in hpfp pressure is pretty typical. it coincides with the highest boost which would be greatest demand for fuel. i think we'll be seeing alot of this since v7 and newer target alot of torque in midrange.

The recent versions of BM3 are basically at the limit of the stock turbo and HPFP so there is no need for a piggyback.

Did anyone else feel like 7.0 and 7.1 made shifts more rough? I feel like the car slips the clutch less? If that makes sense. The time between shifting is a little lagged also almost like it has to think between shifting because of the extra tq. This is all comfort/auto shifting im talking about

Thank you man I was driving myself crazy... I sent in a ticket about it but they just recommended I do the 8AT transmission tune. I don't want to tune the trans just yet...

That's besides the point, I want to know if I can run them together. My car came with dinan hardware I put on a catless downpipe I just want to clear the code. From what I understand its a little underpowered compared to the other stuff but safe which is plenty for me to go to college and back

if your dinan software is a piggyback controller, then yes, you could essentially use bm3 to flash a customized stock tune to your car that disables the CEL for CAT. Then the dinan piggyback would continue to work as intended.

alternatively.. you could ditch the piggy back tuner all together and simply flash a stage 1 tune. if you are worried about too much power, bm3 also allows you to customize their tunes with power limits per gear.

Can someone take a quick look at my datalog? I was finally able to update to V7.1 after installing the VRSF CP and 5in intercooler (wanted to do this preventatively), but I wasn't able to run all the way to redline. I got a knock event early on and timing seems a bit rough. Anything else worth noting or suggestions? I'll try a different gas station and grab another log (I live in Washington state and I'm not sure if we're plagued by the same crappy quality fuel as the rest of the west coast). I'm new to this and appreciate any input.
