Anyone have this error code after coding 2TB?

Code:
Unknown - FKB_CF2101 - No message (shift paddle operation, 0x207)

Fault description: The receiving control unit logs the fault when an expected message from transmitting control unit is not received. These types of faults usually stem from interference on the bust connection between the affected control units (physical link).
I did disable shift paddle under FEM_BODY => PADDLES_VERBAUT

Somehow this error is persistent

I did not add the 2TB like others did because I don't care about having Sports +.
You guys are right, this was totally a great thing to add. I can't believe how smooth the gear shift is now when cruising. Should have been the default programming from factory to begin with. :\
Ok.. I need some clarity here.
I don't need to Code VO? to get sports auto performance?
I have a weird 2013 Msport, that didn't come with paddle shifters, BUT, I do have Sport and Sport+ mode available and 205 is listed in the VO.
If I change FDL to the above the DS indicator will change to gear output, and I'll have this smooth / quick shifting everyone is raving about???

TIA

It has been a while but you don't have code VO since you already has the sports+.
I just coded FDL and the shift does become faster.

Once you code for SAT, going left on the shifter, you will NEVER see DS anymore? Just S1, S2, etc etc?

I FDL coded only these two items on my car (2013 328i Msport that already had the Sport + setting with the 205 option) and it is now showing a check engine light. Any ideas or should I just revert back?

Thanks for the reply kretzu.

I ran tool32 for now to clear the code, so far it seems like everything is OK and hasn't come back. If it comes back, I will run Rheingold and see the specific error code.

Worst case scenario, I'll revert it back and take it to the dealer for diagnosis.

I don't know if it's a placebo effect, but I do feel a difference in the way the car shifts, even in comfort mode.

Is it possible to program sport automatic on a BMW x1 e84? My wife's F30 has sport automatic stock and it's a night and day difference better than my x1.

The E84 X1 has a completely different automatic transmission, older generation ZF 6-speed. The F30 we're talking about here is a younger generation 8-speeed ZF 8HP (which has sport automatic option). This could explain the night and day difference

That is unfortunate and I believe your facts are correct. I guess I will avoid driving my wife's f30 as much as possible....

Hey guys,

I have a question, my 330e didn't come with the sport automatic option, but it still shows S1, S2 etc instead of DS. It shifts really quick aswell, sometime it feels like a jolt when it shifts gears. Can it be that this car has a special gearbox due to the electric motor?

Thanks in advance.

The sport automatic is the best coding you can do for your car imo. Not only are the shifts faster in every mode including comfort, but the gear changes are so much more responsive. In Sport mode the tranny feels like a DCT with a nice jolt every time you up shift with WOT. It boggles my mind why this programming is not default on a BMW.

In other words, code your auto transmission and see what it's all about if you haven't yet!
How do you revert back?

How can i do this ? I coded 2TB and removed 205 . Can you please tell me how to go back to 205.

You just undo the FDL coding on the EGS ECU.

The 'sport auto transmission' is not an available option for the 330e BUT the 330e comes with paddle shifts and Sport+ mode already installed by default.

I coded SAT and was unable to see any clearly identifiable difference (as you point out pushing shifter to the left already brings up S1,S2 etc on the 330e)

I keep meaning to code launch control via FDL coding and see if that works. To date I've not been able to see confirmation of whether anyone else with a 330e has done that (successfully or otherwise).

Does it come with paddle shifters coded by default? Cause mine didn't come with the physical paddles. But surely enough it shows S1, S2 etc and has Sport+ aswell.

Like the F15, xdive40e, the 330 has option 2TE Automatic Transmission with Gearshift.

Depending on your EGS, you may not even have LC funktion parameter present.

Yeah, I have seen that before. Usually, much like coding 6NS, without followup with changing mic # back to 1 will show dash fault. However, only error codes showed up in ISTA+.

It is rather straight forward. You need E-sys and Psdzdata to VO code vehicle. If you plan to FDL code, you need TM's Launcher to generate token and provide CAFD mapping. Let me know if you need software.

Hi, this is my first post here!

I have had a 330e for a couple of months now. Rather stupidly I assumed it was a sports auto box as it came with paddles. I don't so much mind the speed with which the gears change up, but the guessing game, entering a corner and manually changing down a gear is infuriating. The delay between clicking the paddle and the gear changing is ridiculous! Plus I don't like how mid corner it still insists on choosing to kick down in to a lower gear.

Will the coding change improve this?

How straight forward is it to do yourself ? I have ordered a cable. I have also been quoted £160 for someone else to do it for me.

So I have a cable on order, I know I need the software and a token? Where is the best place to get this?

Any advice appreciated.
