Please share details of the connector terminals. Where were you sourcing them from before? What make, model, or other pertinent details? There are enough of us savvy out here, that with a few details, I'm sure someone in the community can track down another source for us all.

Is it bare, or with harness and connectors? I might rock one of these eventually. I suspect sooner or later my PS2 will melt the cat in my UR catted downpipe. At that point, I'll remove the cat substrate, plug in a plug and play catsim and still be able to pass visual and OBD inspection!

Bare. Never been used or hooked up. I'll snap a pic of it tonight if you are interested.

Also @Jadar, if you know the manufacturer and MF part number you can probably find the connectors on something like Digikey.com

Right there in the top pic!! I wish I could just purchase that solution! I have the DP fix for my 2013 PWG 335i but I'm not a fan of cutting any wires from the harness....

Can you please explain to me what this means? Are you saying that a tuner can switch off lambda control via "ori cat off" setting? What does "do VMAX" mean and isn't the ECU hidden so why the need to cover the ECU?

Has anyone ever tried anything like this...

Evidently is a mini catalytic converter that the O2 sensor screws into to fool the sensor into thinking the DP is catted.

Has anyone tried this? I had purchased an O2 spacer but was hesitant to put on after reading some negative impacts on the N55 engine

To date A74 hasn't stepped up in answering anything about EWG cars N55 or S55. They always come back with send a pic of wiring and when sent they don't reply or say wiring is prob faulty. Vague.

Also only one EWG car has passed emissions in Texas that used a sim and plug harness we tried several combinations and it would always leave 2 not ready. But his county allowed for two monitors to not be ready so it's just his case and luck. Technically the sim still does not work for EWG. I doubt there will ever be a solution just my honest opinion.

Did you ever get your hands on a new version (blue light) catsim?

Yes that's what was used on the car in Texas.

If you stick to a 300cel aftermarket DP you will be ok, 200cel is what I have and the cel is intermittent.

I have an ER200cel but for 300cel I'd go with the Wagner or Fabspeed.

Wanted to keep this thread going - I purchased a VRSF Downpipe Fix from Tiago at VRSF, arrived super quick!!

I'm running a 2014 EWG N55, FBO with catless downpipes and JB4. Set JB4 to Map 0, set CEL clear to "off", and unplugged the OBD connector, then proceeded to install the catsim using exact wiring following the above.

The downpipe fix that arrived from VRSF looks nothing like their displayed image on the VRSF site, but looks exactly like the catsim from Area 74.

Confirmed that install following instructions using Positaps work, blue LED stays on when car is on.

Also used Autel MS309 to erase all codes, then proceeded to drive cycle the car.

First cycle complete, got P2271 error - "O2 Sensor Signal Biased/Stuck Rich Bank 1 Sensor 2".

Strange thing is, all other monitors were showing "OK" / "Ready" when this CEL showed up.

I erased the code, though now that I think about it I shouldn't have. It's late now - will drive cycle it again tomorrow and report back.
