Correct "V" Clamp Turbo to Downpipe
I ordered from ECS and used their pull down chart and said it fit 2012+ and there wasn't a option for 2014+ Turbo to Downpipe and it doesn't fit... I'm exhausted looking for it... anybody have a link for the correct clamp and ships quick....

I bought the CTS catless 4" downpipe for N55 (EWG).
Few questions: 1. Has anybody tried this turbo to downpipe gasket from VRSF...it is a fraction of the price? Yeah, I'm being a cheapskate https://www.vr-speed.com/vrsf-4-turb...8-n20-n55.html 2. Also, for the upper V-band, did anybody try VRSF's 4" Clamp? (also at link above) 3. For the lower clamp it seems like the BMW genuine part is my only option, which I'm ok with. Thanks for any insights or feedback! Last edited by TwantoFamilio; 03-27-2020 at 02:13 PM.. |

1/2: No, i looked at those and decided to go OEM BMW. As i mentioned in the other thread, i actually ended up using nether of those and re-used the OEM ones without issue. However my car is from CA and low mileage so YMMV - i would still have them on hand. 3. Yes and i would get OEM even if there was another option... they are only like $25 |

Sorry to keep bumping this.
So i ordered the parts listed in the 2nd post of this thread: 18307581970 - gasket 18307606136 - upper clamp 18307620349 - lower clamp getbmwparts.com "VIN Corrected" my order and sent me: 18307553601 - gasket 11657620508 - upper clamp 18307620349 - lower clamp I tried to fit the upper clamp around the 4" CTS Turbo Downpipe i have sitting here and there's absolutely no way it will close. I'm trying to avoid getting under my car b/c I assume that's the only way to see the wastegate for sure and tell if i have PWG or EWG? My car is 100% a 2014. I just looked at the sticker in between the driver side doors and my mfg date is 3/14. That means I have the EWG, correct?? VIN: WBA3B9G55ENR92091 Can anybody tell me which upper clamp is bigger? 18307606136 or 11657620508 getbmwparts did reply saying "the parts we updated your order to include are the only correct replacements for your vehicle per your VIN according to BMW". We don’t have any more of either of these clamps in stock or I would provide measurements for you. BMW also doesn’t list the sizes for these in the catalog So I ask for someone smarter than me who has been through this before if you can please weigh in. Thank you tons in advance! Anthony |

Your help is greatly appreciated! I absolutely am not starting this job until I have all 3 parts because I could see I have a fair amount of rust and corrosion from the car only living in NY and OH |

Agree, would not start the job until you have all parts on hand. I also left some notes in the other thread about how i handled the job. It wasnt bad for me, maybe 2 hours under the car, must less annoying than IC+CP install, especially with a 2nd set of hands up top. Doing the top Vband by yourself would probably be a challenge. |

Just to confirm, getbmwparts did send me the wrong upper clamp and gasket. I got under the car to confirm i have EWG.
They offered a paid return label and have been very helpful/friendly about the situation. All in all, not a big deal, although frustrating due to time invested...but sounds like BMW is the one at fault here. So, just beware if you use them and enter your VIN that they may alter the part #s you specifically enter. Thanks again for the insights! Now on to CEL mitigation |

BM3 or MHD will remove the CEL. Will not allow you to pass emissions though.
Someone also just posted in another thread they passed emissions with a catless DP using the angled O2 spacer. This is probably not a permanently solution to no CEL since i imagine it would still appear (and you would not pass emissions at that point) once you drive the car hard or run a higher stage tune. |
