EPS Coding

Hello,

I recently purchased a used EPS rack and do not have the knowledge to code it. I’ve looked around for ista/esys downloads to code the used EPS, but I can’t seem to find any. Is it worth paying someone to remote code it or is it something I can do myself? Or does anyone have the download and info on how to do it?

Thanks

Sort of... when I plugged in the donor rack everything worked right away without any coding. It even knew the end stops. The only thing that doesn't work is servotronic (steering feel change between drive modes). I have repair FSC code for the donor car but I can't seem to get any luck with it working.

Ah mine has not initialised at all and the rack is still heavy. Are FSC codes definately required and how are they generated/uploaded?

The same like any other ecu...

Load and activate the VO
Read Ecu
Mark the EPS
Detect CAF for SWE
Choose the CAFD with the highest numbers or the bottom one or just any one CAFD and hit OK
Hit the button "Code"

Also, can i code it and then do the initialisation?

Hey Glacier, the EPS isn't found when reading? Your image shows EPS but mine doesn't... could it be a faulty rack or can i try something else?
It successfully reads and shows

ACSM
AMPT
ASD
...
EGS

...but no EPS?!?

Do you have a download for ISTA so I can initialize it? I was able to code the used rack. Thanks for the help!

You'll find it and instructions here dude.

Can you share what you did to do that coding? Did you have to Read SVT too? Was EPS missing like mine was?

I tried the ReadSVT and it did bring up the EPS... however, the "Detect CAF for SWE" setting was disabled. See screenshot.
