DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HIM!

He scammed me on M4 forums while I was looking for Bootmod3. I'm out $300 now, he even faked emails from Bootmod3.

His name is David, David Mirault. Email he used was davidamirault7732@gmail.com.

Real phone number is (909)-979-4247

Imagine being so broke you have to finesse people who work for their bread because all you're good at is being an absolute jackass.

Another thread mentioned the name Joseph Kim, which appeared in one of the screenshots in this thread.

https://f30.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh...1689241&page=3

He also mentioned to me he moved to socal and forgot to change his profile. While we were scheduling for an in-person transaction, I learned that he already took a deposit from genius764. He needs to fulfill his obligation as a seller and proceeds the transaction with genius764, assuming he is not a scammer. I don't agree with his "business ethics" so I backed out.

I haven't heard from him in a couple of days. Seems like a lost cause at this point. In all honesty, it's not even about the money. It's only $100. It's the principle of the situation. It is what it is.

This kid is a 100% POS but come on guys dont be so gullible either.

Haven't you ever heard of the saying " If its too good to be true. It probably is"?

Like the no paypal is already a red flag on top of that why would anyone sell these parts so cheap?

Wow this thread took an unexpected path lol.

The price isn't what makes it too good to be true, they were selling for this last year when BMW cleaned inventory. Some as low as $450. I got mine several months later on eBay for 750 shipped. We now see users posting them for $1K+. Supply and demand, but gouging imo.

Anyway moral of the story is to always use PayPal And a merchant payment if you don't know the person or need shipping. The fee is 1-3%. I always offer to add it on top. If the seller still doesn't want Paypal then run.

Heads up guy this kid is making fake accounts still doing the same thing.

Tried to use account "Santashelper" to sell me something with paypal but he obviously doesn't know paypal has buyer protection. I will get my money back no big deal but someone need to banned his IP if possible. Sent me a picture of someone else's post and flipped it and tried to edit the "M" badge out.

What a POS, I wish I could of said I believed in karma but it doesn't exist, however, revenge and street justice does.

Someone played me recently on EBay, he claim he was selling a new Dinantronics Stage 4 tune for a M2 but instead sent an empty package.

I send him back a big box of cat litter mixed with a weeks worth of shit, with signature confirmation and had eBay refund entire purchase, upon delivery.

Those that got duped, don't beat yourself up, it happens to the best of us, just next time look before you leap.

Guess who’s back.....

Listing the LSD on eBay with same pics on an account he opened yesterday (04.01.2020) and yet in listing he states:

On Apr-02-20 at 19:22:47 PDT, seller added the following information:
To the winner of this bid: **Please do NOT pay after bid has ended. Please wait for me to send you a new account in which you can send payment to. The Paypal account that is linked to this listing is no longer active. I am unable to edit the Paypal account portion on this listing that specifies how I will receive payment. I will need to provide you with a new Paypal account which you can send the payment to. If you do not feel comfortable with doing this, DONT BID ON THIS LISTING.

How do you open an account and lose access to PayPal Account in less than 24 hours (unless PayPal shut him down for scams on this forum!).

Regardless, don’t fall for it.

I started messing with him in regards to his iPhone for sale post after seeing he was scamming people. I claimed I didn't have Venmo or zelle and he said no PayPal. I finally convinced him I'd wire him money if he sent me wire instructions, which he did. I crossed out the acct number cuz I don't know if it's legal for me to post that. This is his real info as far as I can tell. Would be stupid to provide fake instructions to receive a wire.

Didn't do a great job crossing out the account number lol. Not like I care though, he deserves the worst.

Hi sorry for my ignorance, I have never done a transaction here on the forum before, someone had PM'd me and offered to sell his coilovers. Is PayPal good enough to prevent a scam? What other measures do I have to take? Much thanks in advance!

Nothing is enough to prevent a scam. What is enough is PayPal with Buyers Protection (at a 3%) premium instead of Friends and Family to get your money back.

Many scammers will look for your posted showing interest in a classified thread and message you, as what happened to you in the Coilover Classified you responded in. That's a warning flag.

Look at their join date, posts and reputation as well as iTrader rating.

Everyone has to start somewhere, so not all are scammers, but be safe and take precautions to put the odds of recovering in your favor.

Use PayPal then have the funding source be your Amex. Backup protection just in case. At least use a credit card if you don't have an Amex and not your debit card, but Amex has the best help for this sort of crap.
