Thank you for providing the North America 2020-2 torrent file. I downloaded and tried loading it to the root file of a few usb drives that are formatted correctly. My car is not recognizing the map update when I plug in the usb in the armrest. I have the 4 folders, and 2 pkg files. Is there something else missing? I am having problems with the update. Like derekjl, my torrent dropped the config.nfm file and the update would not start. After creating a blank text file named config.nfm, the update starts but quits after about 2 seconds. Also thanks to derekjl for the tip!

Anyone else run into this problem?

Just download the torrent file. When it's complete you will open the folder and notice there is no config file. That is when you create a blank config file in the folder. Don't add it to the folder prior to downloading.

I still have automatic map updates via ConnectedDrive. Have successfully receive a couple map updates since owning and my subscription is active through 2022.

Got the notification a few days ago to update maps but hit the "update later" button instead of "update now".

Haven't gotten the notification again since then and map is still on 2020-1. Is there a way to tell the car to trigger the update again? There's a notification in idrive saying am update is recommended but I can't figure out how to actually do it or clear the message.
