Dorch Stage 1 HPFP Review - W/Logs

Hi Guys,

So I just installed the Stage 1 HPFP from Dorch, and here are my impressions so far.

Customer service was fantastic, I received the pump after submitting the VIN, but unfortunately since my build date is right on the cusp of production date changes I was sent the wrong wiring harness. A quick call and VM prompted a return call with 1 hour. A new harness was sent overnight the next day.

The pump install itself took us less than 3 hours. Great instructions and build quality seemed solid.

First run and I could immediately tell my fueling issues were addressed. After reviewing the logs it's clear as day the capacity is much greater.

OEM pump +PI - E85 @ 77%
PSI dips to 766 PSI
https://datazap.me/u/m248/e77?log=1&data=3-10-19-20-21

Dorch Stage 1 HPFP +PI - E85 @ 84%
PSI stable entire run

How noisy is the pump? Heard the aftermarket pumps are louder than stock.

I would go stage 2 HPFP if you don't plan on running PI. Especially if you're using high E%

My stage 1 is only slightly louder than OEM. I would imagine stage 2 would be louder.

There is a chart/table with flow numbers somewhere... saw it in a thread and you might be able to find it online. Compared stock/b58/etc. I believe the stage 1 is more flow than xdi35

Can't comment on the flow specs.

Stage 1 was on backorder when I ordered mine. Took roughly 3-4 weeks to arrive. Make sure to include your VIN in the order details.
