Exhaust flap question

I was messing around with the exhaust flap opening using the one.maven app. When I open the exhaust flap on my 330e it opens to 90 degrees and quickly settles at an opening of roughly 45 degrees. It's this normal? I thought the flap would open to 90 degrees (maximum opening) and stay there?

Not familiar with 330e, in case there is something specific about it, but generally speaking the flap has only 2 positions - fully open (perpendicular to airflow) and fully closed. Nothing inbetween.
