CEL with injen intake n26 engine

Ran fine yesterday but this morning I started it up and I have a cel. Do these intakes cause cels or could it be an install issue?

Probably an install issue. An intake should not throw a CEL. Make sure the MAF is secure as good practice, then grab a code reader and see what the codes are.

Mines been running for a year with one. No CEL for me. Are you sure all the bolts are snug? And did you install the vacuum line?

Check that all the clamps are on solid, clean MAF and make sure its in there tight and the vacuum line is securely on there, other than that your CEL is probably something else.

IT is P12A9 boost pressure too high.

Is that a common issue with the injen intake? Any idea how to fix it?

What other mods are you running?

I've had my Injen CAI for a number of months with nothing other than 10 hp and some
cool sounds.

Likely the intake. Have you checked to make sure everything, particularly the MAF and vacuum line, are secured properly?

Super common error that people install the MAF in the wrong direction, which results in rough idle/run and CEL. Also check the connection to be sure it is seated all the way down.

Please let us know when you get this resolved. I’m sure I’m not the only one curious to know what threw the code.

error code was boost pressure too high. i changed the tune down to +2 psi and it never came back. i will try it at +4 psi now that it has been on there a while and see if the cel comes back.
