Bootmod3 B58 OTS maps update - Version 2.1 is out

Bootmod3 B58-F OTS map update - Version 2.1

Version 2.1, April 21 2020:
- Boost and load control changes

We spent a lot of time on boost and load control on this Version 2.1

Slightly powerincrease on the topend.

Some users would experience overboost in the lower RPM range causing a midrange to drop slightly in power.

This should now be resolved.

Just flashed this and had a quick run in the car.

Only 18 miles done but first impressions is miles better than v2.0
Dragy also showed - 1/10th of a second 100-200 on my first run with more fuel in the car than my best ever run so I do think it’s got more power as well.
But drivability wise low rpm to mid rpm is soooo much nicer! No more massive boost surge feeling that was the throttle closing ect.
Much better!
Now just need to get my laptop working so I don’t have to run a 5mtr extension cable from my pc to my usb Ethernet adaptor to flash the car haha

I love how smooth that curve is. It's loaded, but have no place to go right now. Pure sadness.

Well "luckily" one of our critical servers died during a scheduled shutdown so I got to take v2.1 out for a spin to address this.

Two words: Holy &^%$%@!#$$!

I thought the jump from 1.0 to 2.0 was impressive, this is just as good. Power delivery is insane and smooth. It "felt" like I was getting a throttle cut in the mid-band before (never logged to confirm), but nothing now. It's just a demon.

Holy shizzle, I've just flashed stage 2 v2.1. What a difference. Please tell me all cars have responded like this? I have more power everywhere, wheels lighting up where they didn't before. Have you added boost pressure to V2.1?

I version 2.1 the same as Stage 2+?

What are the minimum upgrades needed for v2.1? Is there more than just upgraded downpipes?

If it's just a downpipes upgrade why not just update the Stage 2 instead of making a v2.1 map?

...read the OP. All stages were updated to v2.1. They update all maps periodically. They were previously v2.0.

So just a reflash is all that's needed for this update?

I have a P3Cars analog gauge, and I'm not seeing any increase of overall boost, so I'm suspecting I (you as well) where getting throttle cuts in the background.

I had just put on the staggered summer tires (aka fat) + xDrive and there was wheel slip on each launch (even in sport, not sport+). It was just awesome.

Anyone that's stage 1 93 do this update yet? Is there a graph anywhere for the stage one v2 vs v2.1? Curious to hear some feedback on that setup. Looking at the graph, it looks to lose some low end tq for minimal top end gains. That said, that's an e30 setup that doesn't need that extra low end in the first place.

The torque spike is not ideal. The tune is safer and smoother without it. It also will get rid of the throttle closure that makes it feel like it's losing torque in the midrange.

In my opinion there is something wrong with the first ramp up on the v2.1 plot, maybe some wheel spin? They should be the same in turbo spool speed.

If there is some wheel spin, the lower engine load can affect turbo spool which will put it behind the other map even when the wheel spin stops.

But all this is speculation. Flash v2.1 and see for yourself. A straight stage 2 93 map is performing so much better on my car, including mid range.
